21.01.2022 A good mate of mine with whom I used to race motocross with when I was young and silly (compared to old and silly now) asked me if I would take a couple of photos of one of his moto-X bikes he had just finished giving a complete overhaul, This is one of the photos I created. Shot at the Newey Water Recreation Area in Cobar. It was a lot more difficult shoot than you possibly think, lighting the bike with 3 Canon speedlites and shaping the light as to have no ugly specular hig...hlights or reflections in the final shot. Anyway love to hear your thoughts on this photo and if you have any questions regarding my lighting setup or process please don't hesitate. One last thing I would like to add, this was actually the last Moto-X bike I owned and rode and not long after selling this I sold my Yamaha R1 road bike, I sold the R1 to but my very first new DSLR camera along with a 70-200mm f2.8 lens, Its turned out to be one of the better choices ive made See more

17.01.2022 Meet the King of the Castle, Sir Henry of Emmdale. Henry was rescued from a date with a hammer to the head about 10yrs ago when I stopped for fuel at the Emmdale Road House between Cobar and Broken Hill. The owner at the time who's name was Henry said to me, Do you want a cat ? I'm going to tap him on the head if you don't. Well I didn't want a cat but I wasn't going to let that happen so I bundled up the little kitten and put him in the car with me and we became friends, It didn't take long for Henry to take over the house completely and he continues to be the boss to this day, couldn't imagine it any other way really

12.01.2022 I just such a reaction from the photo of Henry that I thought I’d show another. This is only a phone photo but it shows the way he interacts with people. He loves to lay on either of my parents lap and sleep. He really is such an affectionate cat

It really does look wonderful in person and just a quick shoutout to my mum for the photo. Thanks to everyone who has supported me in many different ways Cheers ... Klae

11.01.2022 I thought I would share these few photos with you all as the equipment used to create them might be of interest to some people, On Thursday Canon Australia sent me a new 1 DX mark iii to test and see what I think and compare it to the new R5. Im a huge fan of mirrorless camera systems and currently shoot with an EOS R about 80%-90% of the time. But there is still circumstances where you cant beat the DSLR and that's action photos when you need to grab focus fast and accurately and in particular I love the 1DX line of cameras when you have a large super telephoto lens connected. These were just shot in my backyard with the 1DXiii and a 400mm f2.8 L lens with a 2x teleconverter attached. Very impressed with the 1DXiii so far I guess there is a reason its Canons flagship camera. lol
