24.01.2022 Today is International Cat Day, and what better way to celebrate it, than to meet Dan! He's the loveliest 7 year old boy you could meet, with puffy cheeks, and an often derpy face. He's also a very special boy, because he has FIV! FIV (Feline immunodeficiency virus) is similar to HIV, but it is specific to felines. It reduces the effectiveness of their immune system, making them nore vulnerable to cat flu, calici and many other diseases. However, you can easily manage the dis...ease, simply by keeping up the yearly vaccinations! The most common way it is transferred between cats is through alpha males fighting, and is a very big issue for feral cats. In my Bushranger focused presentations, feral cats and the issues they have, and cause, often comes up, and is quite eye opening for staff and students. I offer mentoring services for both environmental leaders in schools and businesses, to help brainstorm ideas that would work, and help put them in place. 19.01.2022 Food waste makes up much of a school's litter and waste, and you'd be surprised how much can be created. A waste audit allows your class to see not only how much waste is in one or two bins, but how much that could lead to in a whole year! A school I worked with recently, found out that in a year, they could create up to 84,000 food scraps! Now, a lot of that food waste is going to their newly set up worm farm, and the kids are working on ways to reduce their food waste... 09.01.2022 For those people who don't know who I am, or what this business is, please allow me to give you a brief background! Klean&Green Enviro Presentations is a business which focuses on Environmental Education for schools an businesses. I have 7 years experience in this area of education, after spending much of my time in high school as an environmental leader, as both a Bushranger and the Environmental Captain at Emmanuel Catholic College for two years. I was also a Cat Welfare Of...ficer at Cat Haven WA, where I helped their education branch get started. I have always been passionate about environmental education and having the next generation be more environmentally aware. I was a runner up in the Waste Champion Category at the Infinity Awards in 2015, the youngest person to be nominated for that award, at the age of 18. I have also worked alongside government groups such as Keep Australia Beautiful and Waste Wise Schools I offer activities such as waste and litter audits, animal-related talks (focusing on the welfare of cats, and the impact feral cats have on our native flora and fauna), beachcombing/geocaching activities, workshops, and more! These activities work for staff and students at schools, and even businesses! I have also recently started to offer specialist recycling pickups, which allow groups to collect items such as mobile phones, soft drink cans and batteries! They learn so much about our native flora and fauna, as well as environmental sustainability techniques I was part of the Bushrangers program during high school, which allowed me to become a team leader, running various programs. I've also studied Environmental Management and Sustainability at university, which showed me many different techniques to study the environment around us!
