22.01.2022 Busy place our kindy...but an awesome place to be. Some happenings lately are the Easter raffle and chicks hatching. Dana Wortley MP donated a basket of Easter treats for us to raffle off. Thank you for supporting us with buying tickets. Winner will be drawn next Tuesday. Also the baby chicks hatching infant of us was a great learning experience. They have grown so fast! They leave us Friday, we have loved observing and touching (gently) the little chicks.

22.01.2022 A huge thank you for all the support with our Kytons fundraiser. You helped us raise over $250.

20.01.2022 Have a safe and relaxing term break everyone. We hope the sun comes out for the majority of the time (unless you like the cold.) Many thanks to all the staff and families on a most successful term. You all did an amazing job! Stay safe and warm. Reminder that kindy goes back TUESDAY 25th July. (Pupil free day Monday 24th July).

19.01.2022 GREAT WEEK! Happy Holi to all! It was a great week of family involvement and volunteering. So much going on! - Henna by lots of Mums - Mums in cooking coconut treats - A garden Dad planted veggies with us (now we need to keep them growing) - A garden Mum helped clean up the overhang and plant debris in the lane way for Clean Up Australia Day! ... Wow, the Klemzig Kindy Community is fantastic. Thank you all for helping out! We cant deliver all these amazing learning opportunities without your help. THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU - THANK YOU Just see Ali if you have any ideas of how you can help out the kindy....she may also track you down :)

18.01.2022 Klemzig Kindy staff are amazing! Today they spent time setting up new learning invitations. They moved the art space to inside, home corner outside, set out new resources.....it looks fantastic...thank you team.

14.01.2022 We loved watching the excavator at kindy today! The outdoor area is starting to transform......and then we danced in the afternoon! Such a fun filled day!

13.01.2022 Just had the best time at the disco. The children looked amazing and were great dancers. It was fantastic to see the dance floor full. Thank you for your tunes April Crisanti and the use of your gym, Klemzig Primary School. Much appreciated. A huge thank you to the staff and families for helping out. Clean up was in record time! Time for a rest now!

13.01.2022 Sand pits are done! Huge thank you to Emilys Mum for moving the sand and Isabellas and Bens family for the lend of wheebarrow and shovels. Looks great !

13.01.2022 Today was time to replenish the yard! New playfill was spread (Jeffries sprayed it...so much easier than manually spreading!) and 4 HUGE bags of sand arrived. 1 mud pit (beautiful red loam) and 3 sand. If you are looking for something to do....feel free to bring your shovel (maybe a wheelbarrow) to help us move the sand into the pit for the kids (mud pit already done).

13.01.2022 A note to say thank you for the care and support you gave to Klemzig Kindy this year. We topped off the year with a lovely end of year picnic and concert. We also fundraised $586 on the night and through raffle ticket sales, great effort! Wishing you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New year. What a delight it has been to be at Klemzig Kindy for 2016. Remember to visit us in the future....and most of all smile and be safe.

09.01.2022 We will be celebrating International Mud Day (June 29th) ALL WEEK. It should be a fulfilled week. Send your child to kindy in their oldest clothes, rain coat and gum boots etc. so they can get really muddy.....then a mud pack for after so they can go home cleanish (change of clothes, shoes, towel etc) https://natureplaysa.org.au/international-mud-day/

07.01.2022 Have you caught up with what is happening at Kindy lately? Awesome learning opportunities.

06.01.2022 Week 8 excursion to the Hahndorf Farm Barn was awesome! We milked Daisy the cow, feed sheep, goats, deer, donkey and camel. We held chicks, rabbits and guinea pigs and touched lizards! Loved the bus ride too. Thank you to all the children, families and staff for making this happen (and with ease).

06.01.2022 Morning all. :) Our new gate got installed yesterday (22.03.2017). The cement is still drying, please use the side gate off the lane way today...and probably tomorrow. Yay...a new gate!

05.01.2022 Building on from our inquiry this term (Our Countries) we have set up the learning space with Indigenous Australian in mind. We have also set up learning provocations with fairies, doctor surgery, our new wood work bench and bamboo blocks..... and our new residents (spiny leaf insects). Learning can be great fun!!

03.01.2022 Not to alarm anyone.... but we had a small accidental fire in the kindy kitchen (stove caught alight) Thursday night (around 6pm). No one was on site at the time so no one was hurt. MFS were in attendance within a few minutes of the alarm alert. The damage was contained to the kitchen area where only adults access. On Friday kindy ran as normal (and will continue to) while the kitchen removal began. Works will begin on installing a new kitchen as soon as possible. Please bear with us as the renovations take place.......we have even needed to go back to using a 1990s phone so it may take us longer to answer if you call (it has a cord!)
