24.01.2022 Its that time of year again! Your pooch might be feeling a bit uncomfortable as the winter weather starts to warm up! If its been more than three months since your dawg last had a haircut, you run the risk of this horror show in your house!... Most dogs have coats that need regular daily/weekly brushing and if you know in your heart that youve been too busy to get to the brushing of the dog and you know the kids havent been doing it (even though theyd promised they would!), do poochie a favour and book them in for a summer cut! Theyll be so much more comfortable and you wont have to feel stressed or guilty about them when those hot mountain days hit!! Klipt Kanines is already heavily booked because most clients book a year ahead but I do have some bookings available for the coming months - call Linc on 0416 305 425 to book your pampered pooch in - bookings available for upcoming Saturdays!

24.01.2022 Couldn’t resist sending these two Mini Schnazuers, Oscar and Lily home with Santa jockeys today Merry Christmas from Klipt Kanines!! ... Our last day is Tuesday and we’re back from the 5th January though we are fully booked for the rest of this year - thank you everyone for your wonderful support during this challenging year

22.01.2022 The Poo Dance You look so neat... Standing on your back feet All spruced up to head home Your hair is done You smell devine You smile... as if youre like this all the time But behind that smile The pressure is building You have the need to do some gilding The scent of something That Linc can smell Strain and then prance Its the dreaded poo dance!

22.01.2022 These two handsome fellas popped up on my Facebook memories yesterday and it reminds me of how great the Splash and Dash for Dogs service is because both Benny Boy and Sam the Man STILL comes in for their weekly Splash and Dash for Dogs appointments - 6 YEARS LAYER! Now thats some customer loyalty right there and I have so many long term Splash and Dashers just like it! We all looked so much younger six years ago, Kanines included! ... If you think it might be time for your pampered pooch to get some pampering, give Linc a call on 0416 305 425 - I have appointments available - now is a great time to get rid of that winter coat, especially if its also their coat from last summer!

22.01.2022 Worried about a virus?! Build your immune system! #smoochapoochaday

20.01.2022 Lots and lots on my mind at the moment... Ive been musing about the fact that at the beginning of the year, we were told there was no decent rain on the horizon / forecast for what was made to sound like an eternity... I know its sounds crazy but if we were open to new ideas about how this universe actually functions - we could perhaps consider this rain event to be the result of an entire nation, regardless of our religious beliefs or political proclivities or colour of ou...r skin - all hoping and wishing for the same thing at once?! Every single person in Australia all wishing out loud, to ourselves, to each other - we needed a bloody great big load of rain to put out the fires and fill the dams and help repair the burnt landscapes! And then, TADA!!! Is there honestly one person out there in this wide dry land over the last few months that didnt send up a positive affirmation, or a prayer for rain? (because isnt that what prayer is, when you break it down? Positive affirmation?) And if this is an example of the power humans have with the collective concentration and synchronisation of our energy - what the bloody hell cant we do when we all work together??! In this reality we can change the weather to put out fires and help prolong our water supplies! Anything is possible! Could we also perhaps ask the universe to somehow compel our representatives and leaders to be on humanities side instead of their own? Maybe we could focus our collective positive vibe on fixing the mess weve made of the planet - remember we can change the weather now! - if we work together for solutions. If we could harness THAT as human beings and use it collectively not only to change the world around us for good but also for our own personal mental health too - we would be very powerful species indeed! Ask anyone who has been around me for the last 10 or so years- Ive been going on about the power of positive thinking ad nauseam - to the point of aggravation for some people! - for years now and am living proof that this is no small thing. Its can be a big, huge, mega super thing! Who else gets a written apology and settlement from a bank? Besides the guy who works hard to feed positive energy into the universe (in many different little, easy ways) and have a positive influence in the world Either way, the continuous rain has felt like the drenching we all needed

20.01.2022 When giving six rolls of toilet paper feels like giving someone a million bucks Ive been picking up and dropping off a clients cute little doggy for wash...ing and grooming every couple of weeks for the last twelve months, because she is 85 years old and doesnt drive. I love doing it because I ring that door bell every second week and the exclamations of excitement from the pup and listening to the client chatter back to her from behind the security screen just reminds me, once again, how privileged I am to get to be so involved in clients lives and witness this vocal display of devotion I asked her if she needed me to do any shopping for her - her family dont live locally. Yes please! Running out of toilet paper and tissues and the dogs food is getting low as well as her favourite treats (sardines) and mum, the client, also needed some carnation milk - so old school I took the list and trudged off to the supermarket, pretty confident I was going to find empty shelves in the TP aisle, so I asked Robbie to prepare six rolls from our ever dwindling supply out of the cupboard at home I was disappointed to find I was correct - not a scerrick of poop paper to be found at the market! So I grab the home care package on my way back to the clients house (pups list was covered, along with the carnation milk) and hand it over, along with the few requested groceries. The gratitude, oh my god the gratitude! It was like Id handed her a big bag of cash when in fact it was six rolls of toilet paper It reminded me that it doesnt matter the value of the gift, its the spirit of the giving that counts! I made a huge difference in someones life with such a simple act and when I refused the extra handful of gold coins she tried to press into my hand for my time (even though I sorely needed it this week with $240 in cancellations for today) it felt even more amazing It reminded me to keep an eye out for the little ways to make a difference to those around us, especially now - it doesnt have to be a huge act to make a huge impact in someones life

19.01.2022 Far out, I am really loving my job right now Some days it feels extra special being able to make a difference in these little guys lives An non-Westie looking Westie

19.01.2022 Heres a quick video from when this fella started coming in, of me trying to convince Mr Oscar that I'm not such a bad guy! Hes a tough nut to crack and 18 months later I still don't think he's that convinced TBH

19.01.2022 So about two months ago this beautiful Border Collie fella moved in across the road from Klipt Kanines, my dog grooming business in Lawson. About two days after he arrived, his mum walked him over for a pamper and he ended up being a very lucky doggo because his Mum signed him up to Splash and Dash for Dogs for UNLIMITED washing and brushing for one low monthly price! Kinda like a gym membership, but for dog grooming!... So every Saturday, Mr. Cooper rocks up for his bath and brush out (very good floofer, no movings, friendly and loving licks always) but on the days hes not in... He literally sits and stares at Klipt Kanines from back corner of his property the whole time we are at work - this is my view every time I go to the waiting area of Klipt Kanines! I wave and call out and he waves his tail back at me and I feel like I might die from the love bursting in my chest Dogs are just the best and some days Im reminded how lucky I am to do this for a living!!! More so since he moved in

19.01.2022 Gday everyone, Ive made the decision to close Klipt Kanines tomorrow due to the Catastrophic Bushfire conditions that have been predicted - it sounds like we all might have other things to think about besides getting the pooch pampered! Or it could turn out to be nothing (fingers crossed!) but I would prefer to err on the side of caution when it comes to the safety of your doggies and also, me and Robbie LOL ... It is the worst time of year! Im already pretty flat chat in the lead up to Christmas but I have availability to rebook on Friday this week, or Tuesday, Friday or Saturday next week - if you had a booking for tomorrow (I have tried touching base with everyone but covering all bases with this Facebook post) please touch base with me to rebook. Please let me know (0416 305 425) when you would like to reschedule and thanks for your understanding. Linc Klipt Kanines 0416 305 425

19.01.2022 Footloose and fancy free with some extra fancy foot work! Its March already This is an excellent month to get your pampered pooches in for some post summer lovin!... Have a look at the dawg right now - if it looks like theyve already got a winter coat on, it needs to come off! Before the weather changes Imagine having to put a coat on top of a coat that you already cant take off because its also your hair, in a heated house - Im getting the heebie jeebies just thinking about it! March is already looking busy with pre bookings but there are some Saturdays available toward the end of the month and week days through out the month - even those are filling quick! Call Linc on 0416 305 425 to make a booking - winter snuggles will be so much nicer for everyone with a clean, short haircut in Autumn!

18.01.2022 Names Bear... Benny Bear. He had ears that were wider than his head was high and believe me, his head was high! So we chopped them down for the (I think?) first time in what must be 7 years and now hes sporting this fetching new do for Winter ... Those big eyes!!

18.01.2022 Ooh those smooshy wrinkles! 18 week old Marshall was a brave little pup, even during the scariest part - NAIL TRIMMING!!!

18.01.2022 My beautiful crazy little 2kg poodle Isobel, who went to doggy heaven last year. I found this pic of her as I was looking through old Facebook photos and this, ladies and gentleman is a great example of why Miss Isobel wasnt allowed to have balls laying around - because she was ca-razee about the B. A. L. L! Like, relentless. ... At first I thought on that first day, how cute! She brought it back without having to be taught! Three manic, ball filled hours later, not so cute

17.01.2022 Fluffy like a cloud!!

16.01.2022 This guy!! Little Bear - a charming little monkey whod Id have happily tucked under my arm and kept today

15.01.2022 Oh my goodness! So impressed, not only with Abbys family who is obviously keeping up with very regular brushing but also, Miss Abby herself! Stands very still when needed and smiles very prettily for the camera too!!... This is one very well brushed dog!!

15.01.2022 Do you sometimes look at your pampered pooch and think they could use a splash of colour? Klipt Kanines has the answer! Check out these Colour Magik Pet Sprays - colours for your pooch!... Spray in and shampoo out! Made for pets, in Australia! Fun and easy way to be creative with your fur kids fur and a great buy @ $30.95 each! 15.01.2022 I love a clean cut curve Its almost like a perve Snip & comb and fluff & smooth Its no more than he deserves!

14.01.2022 Today we donated to support a couple of our long, LONG term Splash and Dash for Dogs clients - at least 8 years now! Go Smudger and Ebony - raising money for the Guide Dogs!

14.01.2022 Miss Ellie - what can be said about Miss Ellie that isnt obvious from this pic! One of the prettiest smiles Ive ever seen and she flashes it regularly - especially when she rocks up for her regular pamper sessions at Klipt Kanines! If youre thinking your pampered pooch is looking decidedly unpampered, book in for a makeover before the summer rush!... Its definitely much kinder on your dawgs to get their winter coats taken care of now, rather than waiting for the hot weather to already arrive and they could probably do with a nail trim and butt tidy too! And if you get it taken care of now, you wont miss out later on in the year - with my rebooking service now open for ten week rotations for some breeds (previously only available for 4, 6 or 8 week rotations) the rest of the year is already heavily booked and the weeks leading up to Christmas are HECTIC! Call Linc on 0416 305 425 to make a booking - were open Saturdays and can usually accommodate same week bookings

13.01.2022 Did you know that when Im not grooming dogs, I might be writing articles for the Star Observer (formerly the Sydney Star Observer) - Ive had a few news articles published on their website and Facebook page and heres my firstly published opinion piece! Its about the time in my I decided to live as a glass half full kinda person - I hope you enjoy!

12.01.2022 Hiya everyone! Just wanted to reassure you all that Klipt Kanines is still open and operational down in Lawson! In fact, we have less than 30 available bookings for the rest of 2019! ... Not sure how but our Google listing was showing as Permanently Closed for a while there - thanks to the awesome client who pointed that out! And going into our 11th year of business, you can be assured that your pampered pooch will be preened to perfection and ready for heaps of squeaky clean cuddles and kisses! With the majority of my clients enjoying guaranteed regular, scheduled bookings, with convenient text message reminders and clean dogs all year round, I dont have a huge mount of availability left before the end of the year! In fact, less than 30 available bookings for the rest of 2019! (though if I get enough requests, I can open an extra day or two) Our last day of 2019 is Tuesday, 24th December and well be back early in the New Year though most bookings are full for that last week in the lead up to the big day. So dont delay, call LINC today! 0416 305 425

11.01.2022 Our new Splash and Dash for Dogs website is now live! Check out this excellent value service, available exclusively in the Blue Mountains from Klipt Kanines! www.splashanddashfordogs.com.au

11.01.2022 A splosion of suds! Diesel loves the Tuesday morning pamper session and is such a good boy with the high velocity dryer!

10.01.2022 Paralysis ticks are in the Blue Mountains in 2020! From this post from Wentworth Falls Animal Hospital: Historically ticks were usually found in warm coastal areas, but in recent years we've seen a significant increase in patients suffering tick paralysis in the Blue Mountains. ... Signs to look out for include incoordination, weakness in the hind limbs, collapse, vomiting or retching, change of bark or meow, or difficulty breathing. A short coat is best in this weather anyway for comfort and easy home maintenance but this added tick threat is another excellent reason for a short back and sides right now - a lot easier to see if your pampered pooch have picked up any hitchhikers on their daily walks!! Give Linc a call on 0416 305 425 to make a booking - now is a great time for a summer cut, especially if the dawg is carrying around a winter or spring coat

10.01.2022 Klipt Kanines will be open for business for as long as were allowed to trade! So if youre in lockdown and looking at the dog and realising theyre looking a bit raggy - give me a call!! Now is also a good time to check their nails, hygiene areas and hey, can you see their eyes?... Are they a bit woofy? My prebooked clients have all held onto their bookings so far, (phew and thank you!) so we are still steadily booked, though I do have availability tomorrow morning and Friday morning this week and a few spots for next week. PS - please check your confirmation messages for new drop off and pickup procedures, so that we are in line with new social distancing measures, thank you Linc @ Klipt Kanines - 0416 305 425

09.01.2022 This little poodle today Nothing like a confident little poodle trot to make your heart smile

08.01.2022 Whoops! I seemed to have fallen in love again! But who could blame me, look at this bloody thing will ya!?... ODIN! I reckon hed be a real good snuggler

08.01.2022 Mr Smudger, one of my goodest doggos ever crossed the rainbow bridge this afternoon - every Friday for seven years Mr. would come in for his Splash and Dash visit, sometimes bringing friends along (he was very social ) and otherwise alone until little sis came along a year ago but always with a big smile and a wagging happy tail

08.01.2022 We’ve been on a break for a couple of weeks but Robbie and I have still been hard at work! Fresh paint job almost finished! Back into the swing of it for the mad dash to Christmas, I can’t believe I’ve just typed those words!... If you haven’t already booked in your pooch for pampering (most of my clients did before 2020 even started) and you need a booking before Christmas I would give me a call pretty quick - most weeks (there’s only like, 11 left!) are at least 80% fully booked already!

07.01.2022 The rumors are true!

07.01.2022 Sometimes, Robbies sense of humour is questionable at best

07.01.2022 Cool dude Mohawk coming along nicely! Its gonna turn blue this week - just ordered in some doggy dye for this funky family!

06.01.2022 Here are some interesting factoids to muse over on your Monday morning! Klipt Kanines is thrilled to celebrate 70 dog years (thats 10 of our hooman years ) of Klipt Kanines grooming the pampered pooches of the Blue Mountains! In ten loyal years of service to the Blue Mountains: ... - over 20,000 dog grooming services performed! - Over 15,000 litres of shampoo consumed - Splash and Dash for Dogs members Splashed and Dashed over 13,000 times! - Over 1000 grooming bookings already made for 2019 - Over 250 individual Splash and Dash for Dogs members signed up, many of them staying on for over 7 years! (and counting!) - Only 3 semi serious love taps that drew blood and 1 trip to the emergency department! - 10s of 1000s of doggy kisses gratefully received, most returned, only some vomit inducing from tank breath Its been a real pleasure to have the trust of my beautiful clients to look after their fur babies for all these years and a privilege I dont take lightly. Please dont hesitate to contact me, Linc directly on 0416 305 425 if youre looking for dog grooming services, I would be delighted to assist. woof

05.01.2022 Beautiful little Neddy! With a few of his favorite things on display for your viewing pleasure Ive been seeing this good boy for 10 years now, back from when he was Ned, of Ned and Dolittle! ... Dooley keeps any eye on us all from up above now but Mr. here is going STRONG!

05.01.2022 I always feel like we must be doing something right when the doggies love coming in for a bath and groom! Now is a great time to get a pre winter short back and sides - call Linc on 0416 305 425 to make a booking

03.01.2022 I don’t normally post my articles for the Star Observer on the Klipt Kanines page because well, they’re generally not dog related! But this one in particular I am quite proud of and I wanted share this exciting milestone with you all! So after almost twelve months of general articles, here is my first cover story for the Sydney Star Observer!!... Which is exciting enough in itself but the fact I got to interview this talented man William Yang and documented so much of gay Sydney from such a formative time for our community, who also grew up in FNQ and went to Cairns State High School it felt like we had shared connection! I hope you enjoy the read

03.01.2022 More of Abby the Wonder Dog!

02.01.2022 Something about the way this video is so basic looking and the voice has me just undone and probably because I have had this conversation at least once with clients about boy dogs not having nipples MAAM PLEASE STOP THOSE ARE HIS NIPPLES A 30 secs clip and literally half of it I havent laughed like that in years - I feel about ten years younger and I was already feeling damn good!!

02.01.2022 A testimonial from a very happy Splash and Dash for Dogs member, going on 7 years now!! When Linc told me about a concept called Splash and Dash, the ability to have my boy Smudger bathed and brushed out as much as I wanted for a nominal monthly fee I was ecstatic!... Smudger now gets to see Linc every Friday for his wash and blow dry - he loves the time spent at the 'Salon' and gets to see his mates weekly. It is great for us too, as it reduces the amount of fur that he sheds on the furniture (especially my bed, sorry his bed), and more importantly our house does not smell doggy any longer! We love the Splash and Dash system, it has changed our lives! Sarah and Smudger Smith (and since 2019, Ebony! splashanddashfordogs.com.au

01.01.2022 This stunning boy, sunning himself and just taking it all in #ttlyfgoals #tibetanterrier
