25.01.2022 I am now on a theme, but only if you look from bottom to top. The theme is Australian plants. I guess this is a banksia but not being a botanist I can't be certain. In any case it was certainly growing in the Australian bush so that is what I claiming it as.

25.01.2022 The poincianas in flower make a lovely foreground for this shot of the William Jolly Bridge, otherwise known to all and sundry as the Grey Street bridge. The bridge was built in the Art Deco era (built between 1928-32) which explains its beautiful shape.

15.01.2022 The humble bottle brush. I think it lends itself to the weirdness of Australia. Another way to look at it is, it shows how bland the rest of the world is. And we walk by it and never see it.

13.01.2022 This is part of the Brisbane City Council building in George Street, known to all as the green pod. The building itself is at least as tall as those surrounding but I like this angle of just that part, because it is in such contrast to the others.

12.01.2022 The jetty at Bongaree on Bribie Island. This shot taken at sunset.

03.01.2022 Take a walk around Brisbane City. You can start and end wherever you like. You will see it is full of odd buildings. This is one. It is in Charlotte St and bears a Telstra sign. I am not sure if that was its original purpose. I love the use of bricks in the forecourt.
