Jack Horner and Fumiko Hoeft. Jack Horner is a paleontologist whose path into academia was an atypical one. His story is an inspiration for gifted and twice-exceptional students whose own trajectories may not be following a typical path. Fumiko Hoeft is a professor of child and adolescent psychiatry whose current research program focuses on brain development, and brain mechanisms underlying skill acquisition such as language and reading, and educationally relevant concepts such as motivation, mindset, grit, and stereotype threat. She is particularly passionate about her research in dyslexia and autism.

12.01.2022 Aimy is an incredible educator and has worked very closely with Kids Like Us over the last 18 months. She has an instinctive relationship with 2e students and in this podcast she articulates very clearly some of the skills needed to develop strong relationships with our 2e students. I highly recommend that you listen to this podcast and take on board some of her comments on how to build positive relationships with 2e students in the classroom.
