24.01.2022 With everything that’s going on, and requirements to stay home, this couldn’t be a more timely day. If you or someone you know needs help, or a chat then reach out. Some useful number are below if you want to, (and are able to), talk to someone.

23.01.2022 We’ve expanded our traineeship program this year under our COVID recovery strategy, so if you or someone you know is looking for a great opportunity then follow the link to find out more!

23.01.2022 We’ve been getting our hands dirty in the garden (promise I do some of it too!), planting out our seedlings from Seeds For Change, a local group dedicated to revegetating the Ottoway area with Australian native plants. If you’d like to help out then they can provide some free seedlings (and tell you what to do with them - very important if gardening isn’t your strong point like me), that have been selected for our area, to provide habitat and food for our bees and b...utterflies. Contact them direct, through the Junction Community Centre, or pm me direct!

21.01.2022 Lefevre Community Stadium playgroups are epic! Supported by City of Port Adelaide Enfield and running on Mondays and Thursdays from 9:30am. Come and get some practice with my little streetracer in his new film *The Fast & the Furious: Le Fevre Drift* If speeding around on electric cars isn’t your child’s thing then go for the crafts, the singing, the story time, baby area, play equipment, playing with like-minded adrenaline-fueled tiny gangsters... the list goes on!... Plenty of parking, bring a snack (allergy-friendly pls), gold coin donation if you can, easy to get to - what’s stopping you?! *disclaimer: we are not actually filming a toddler version of tF&tF. But if we were...

20.01.2022 Getting all athletic down at Semaphore Bowling Club Inc for their Op K9 challenge in the dream team of Councillor Hannah Evans, Councillor David Wilkins & Councillor Olivia Colombo Let’s be honest - we’re not going to be invited back for our sporting talents!

19.01.2022 My turn this week!

18.01.2022 It's the last few days to have your say on our Open Space Plan (closing on Mon 17th Aug). Follow the link below to the Have Your Say portal where you can give as much or as little feedback as you feel up to. This is the last opportunity to have your feedback considered before the plan comes before Council for formal approval. Whilst we will always take resident feedback at all stages, this plan will guide how we protect, develop and imagine our open spaces including: spo...rting grounds and golf courses parks and reserves dog parks linear parks along the coast and river systems, wetlands, stormwater reserves, and other natural areas, plazas, town squares and streetscapes https://haveyoursay.cityofpae.sa.gov.au/open-space-strategy

18.01.2022 Cr Dinh and I got to see these guys hard at work last week, collecting LOTS of litter! Not sure they were as impressed with our (short) speech though

16.01.2022 Lets make our area just that bit more beautiful! Jump onto PAE's 'have your say' portal to make some suggestions about where some art could brighten up our streets, reserves and spaces. Parks Ward really needs some love! https://haveyoursay.cityofpae.sa.gov.au/colour-our-city

15.01.2022 If you are, or know of, a tourism experience operator in the area then get in contact!

14.01.2022 An update from City of Port Adelaide Enfield about the ongoing fire, which is under control, but still burning. Stay safe!

13.01.2022 Some good news! Last weeks’s fire at the Visy recycling facility meant some fast work for PAE staff to make sure that recycling kept cycling along. Keep sorting those bins!

13.01.2022 Work is starting on Eastern Parade Reserve! Today City of Port Adelaide Enfield, joined forces with the Eagles WWTFC, and SA Recreation and Sport to start work on the upgraded sports facilities at the reserve. Keep an eye out over the next 6 months to see the progress as it happens!... Thanks to Claire Boan - Mayor of the City of PAE and Minister for Recreation, Sport & Racing, Corey Wingard for getting their shovels out Ps. Love our new branded fence mesh banners, with project specific updates. Expect to see more of these on our work sites around the city.

11.01.2022 We can finally tell you! Get out in October and see some of the amazing sights and activities we have right here on our doorstep!

10.01.2022 Bringing Back the Butterflies! Lots going on at the The Junction Community Centre in Ottoway where volunteers with Seeds for Change and Bringing Back the Butterflies are hard at work revegetating the garden. Next weekend, (Sat 12th), come down on Saturday morning for some free plants and advice on planting - the aim is to fill the Ottoway area with plants that provide food and shelter for pollinators

07.01.2022 This is something that we can really all be proud of. Whilst it will cost a fair bit to build, that will soon be recovered, along with all the recyclables! And aside from the financials we will be driving a better way to deal with our recyclable waste. ... Total win!

07.01.2022 Fire at Wingfield Please take care today - the fire at Visy in Wingfield is still burning, and as the wind changes today you may find it affects you. Stay inside when you can, and if you can’t then please take any precautions you are able to.

07.01.2022 We'll be hosting a virtual catch-up tomorrow for residents in the Parks Ward (and anyone else who's interested!). Follow the link on the event page to join us at 2pm on Saturday 21st.
