25.01.2022 Post parkrun ritual: There are many things about parkrun that make it enjoyable for anybody who participates. Today we are asking for your post parkrun rituals. Mine (Chris) is helping pack up (even when I am not volunteering) and chatting to the volunteers and run director. Then head home for a good breakfast. It is a great start to the weekend. Would love to hear all about your own post parkrun ritual/routine.

24.01.2022 For this weeks What’s up Wednesday we want to ask where have you been going to get your 1hour of exercise in ? With the 5km radius restrictions what does look like to you, have you discovered anything new or special or even strange in your 5km. Unfortunately my 5k literally gets me to our entrance but I can’t go in ( yet) but slowly and bit by bit im discovering new street and parklands I normally would have easily overlooked So what’s special about your 5k radius ? - Justine

24.01.2022 Welcome to episode 12 of out Saturday shorts series. This week is a short message from our run directors. We miss you. Stay safe. ... #loveparkrun See more

24.01.2022 Welcome to our regular Wednesday session where we get to hang out and discuss all things parkrun. It’s something small but the team at KM Reedy is keen to keep everyone connected and talking as if we were catching up with our friends before parkrun. This week, I (Joe) want to share with you one of my favourite parts of the KM Reedy course: the first turnaround. I really like this point for many reasons. Firstly, it marks the end of the first km and the runners have settled into a rhythm. Secondly, I love running on gravel. The sound is hypnotic. Finally, as I turn around and head into my 2nd kilometre I get the see the faces of many friends. So much to enjoy about this part of the course. What’s your favourite part of the course?

23.01.2022 Wishing our lucky Queenland friends a happy and safe return to parkrun tomorrow.

06.01.2022 Run report event #61.5 Hoping everyone has had a safe and happy Christmas. It’s been over 10months since we last met at KM Reedy Reserve, back then we had no idea it would be this long, or even if, when, how we would return. We have slowly watched state by state return waiting for our turn. Some weeks we held hope, other weeks it was hard to keep going and keep positive but we now can finally see the light at the end.... This morning I had the opportunity to attend North Harbour parkrun in QLD. After dragging my father and husband out of bed at 5.30am and already really hot, I don’t think ive ever been so exciting for a parkrun, EVER North Harbour parkrun averages around 30 runners/walkers each week and runs mostly on a grass farmland with gorgeous views of the river, grasslands and bush ( just need to watch out for the pot holes and cow pats ) so, what will parkrun feel like when we return? - It will feel FANTASTIC! It feels like returning home. Needed your tail Fiona ! Edit: and an invite to Bribie Islands trial run tomorrow. If you have any questions or concerns for us about returning please don’t to get in touch. We are here to help - Justine

06.01.2022 Hey, hey parkrunners. Today was a collective sigh of relief for us a community. It was great to see so many familiar faces and some new ones, too. 04.01.2022 Hey Hey parkrunners! Tim here, running a little late with this week's WHATS UP WEDNESDAY. This week we want to have a lite hearted laugh at times parkrun didn't go as we planned. For me it was a few years ago when I had encouraged my wife to bring the kids along to participate up at our neighbouring course at Frog Hollow. What I hadn't factored in was how long it took to get a 4 year old and a baby ready on a Saturday morning! By the time we had parked the car it was well aft...er 8am. With a bit of encouragement from my wife, I still set off to do my run, and as I passed the volunteers at the finish line they let me know I was over 12 minutes late! I then proceeded to try catch the Tail Walker and other runners out on the course, receiving many comments about "slept in Tim?" along the way. Needless to say I did not make a PB that day. We know that our plans don't always work out, but it is great fun to look back and laugh (or cry at them!) So what's your story of a time that parkrun didn't quite work out for you?

03.01.2022 Sending a massive congratulations to Katherine who will be celebrating her 25th Volunteer with us tomorrow at parkrun. Thank you from all of us at KM Reedy Reserve for all your volunteering, helping us to run smoothly each week and often going above and beyond your role to help set up, pack up and always willing to help others. So make sure you give Katherine on the timekeeper roster a (not) high 5 as you cross the finish tomorrow ... parkrun relys on Volunteers each and every week, unfortunately our roster is looking a little bleek over the next few weeks, plus a photographer still needed tomorrow to capture awesome pics like this one. If you haven’t volunteered yet or its been awhile please check out our roster and send us messages, volunteering really is easy and alot of fun https://www.parkrun.com.au/kmreedyreserve/futureroster/

03.01.2022 Just a few pics from today's event, it was a little chilly but fun was had.
