24.01.2022 Did you know that EXERCISE is just as effective on REDUCING pain as medication for knee pain? Some members from our team found that exercise can provide short-term benefit that is sustained for at least 2-6 months after cessation! This is comparable to when you take medications like nurofen and voltaren for a short amount of time. However, with taking these medications, there could be side effects. Our team is running a study to reduce medication use with exercise for people... with knee pain! 20.01.2022 What do we think of GLUCOSAMINE for osteoarthritis? Last month, the Australian Rheumatology Association warned people of the possible allergic side-effects associated with taking glucosamine for osteoarthritis. The evidence for glucosamine for osteoarthritis is not great, showing little to no effect on slowing down progression. Members of our team found that placebo was just as effective as glucosamine to reduce pain in people with knee osteoarthritis. In saying that, everyon...e had less pain at the end of the trial! Our recommendation: Listen to the experts - " If it works for you and you want to keep using it, then do so only on the advice of your doctor". Want to hear what the experts think?
