25.01.2022 Here's a before and after of a Shun paring knife with a snapped tip... like new again!

25.01.2022 So here it is, YouTuber (Cedric & Ada) who review's knives has made a vid of the results of my sharpening of his Rex 121 blade... check it out! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t0Nd02e6P9E&t=41s

24.01.2022 Pretty happy with how well these chisels turned out! #HairShavingSharp

23.01.2022 Here's another before and after polishing & sharpen of a Damascus steel chef's knife... Like new again! Polishing is an optional extra service available, see pinned post for details :) Apologies for my terrible filming 0_o

23.01.2022 In case you didn't know, we now do chisels! #HairShavingSharp

22.01.2022 The perfect edge Sharpened these up for a knife collector (one of my regulars) and spent some time on the polishing belts for that extra shine :D

22.01.2022 I claim that all knives sharpened will be 'hair shaving sharp', well here's proof! Its also proof that showing the hair shaving part is gross

20.01.2022 Today's sharpening! Looks like a few people had #sharpKnives or at least more/better cooking as their new years resolution!

20.01.2022 Showcasing some of ze mirror polished edges which are a sign of high quality sharpening!

20.01.2022 Back up and running folks! It's Spring, so chances are your gardening tools may need some TLC. All tools are fully serviced (fully disassembled, cleaned, all moving parts lubricated, blades expertly sharpened and pivots adjusted properly when reassembled)! And yes, I am still offering free pick-up and delivery for your convenience (due to COVID-19).

20.01.2022 This is called a mirror polish because the edge looks like a mirror. Takes time but the results are eye popping.

17.01.2022 Hey there, as we come closer to Christmas I'm just seeing if anyone would like their knives done. I'm dedicating tomorrow (Mon) and Tuesday to sharpening, would you be interested? :)

17.01.2022 So called 'Knife sharpener' destroys customers knife

15.01.2022 Just a little sharpening demonstration (stage 1) of my Ken Onion Grinder Attachement.

15.01.2022 After moving, an overseas trip etc etc, Knife Support is back in business. One change however is for orders of minimum 5 knives, this way people can pool their favourite blades with friends and family and everyone wins! Inbox us for questions or requests :)

15.01.2022 I get all my supplies for outdoor cooking (wood smoker) from BBQ's Galore Dubbo. I also manage their page for my good friend Grant who is the owner of the Dubbo store. https://www.facebook.com/BBQsGaloreDubbo

14.01.2022 Wow that's sharp! Do you need knife support? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bkyt9sr2CVM&feature=youtu.be

14.01.2022 Here's a vid of a single hair being sliced in half. No tricks, just a vid of Jethro running a hair over an incredibly sharp edge he just sharpened.

13.01.2022 Myth: "Dishwashers make knives blunt". Did you know the 'rule' of not putting your chef's knife in the dishwasher is advice solely for knives with wooden handles and has nothing to do with the blade? Countless times I've heard people say that the acidity of the dishwashing tablets eat away at the edge of your knife. Even if this were a possibility on the cheapest/nastiest of knife steels, most kitchen knives are stainless steel and have a high chromium content, so acidity of ...a cleaning product won't be an issue. The water temp won't come close to affecting the edge either! The ONLY reasons I would avoid putting sharp knives in a dishwasher is the fine edge of the blade bumping up against other steel objects, or if the knife had a handle which was not dishwasher safe. Otherwise, more care should be taken to avoid cutting onto glass/steel surfaces. See more

13.01.2022 Crikey that's sharp! Do you need knife support???

12.01.2022 What's your favorite knife? Here is a knife I can recommend for the home cook. I have always loved the experience of using a Shun. A thin blade means it slices through material beautifully. Easy to sharpen. Well weighted and priced. The only drawback is I have had a number of these sent to me with chips and snapped tips (don't worry, I repair these!). Not designed as a boning knife, but for everything else, this is a good knife.

12.01.2022 Having incredibly sharp knives is the culnary equivalent of getting a brand new Dyson vaccume cleaner, it just makes everything easier & more enjoyable! Free pick up & delivery for Orange customers who reside in town, for the foreseeable future! Inbox me for any questions ;)

11.01.2022 That's 20 superbly sharp knives for some foodies in town and out of town -I always put masking tape on the sharpened knives to protect the super sharp edge during transport. Also helps prevent accidental cuts when they arrive home. Honestly, I've nicked myself that many times from just lightly touching the edge unintentionally, it's not funny 0_o #HairShavingSharp #LikeNew

11.01.2022 Fact= THESE ARE RUBBISH! I call them steel shredders or knife graters. They rip away at the knife-edge, removing far too much material. It's the equivalent of cleaning your glasses with a scouring pad. NO, just no! Click the message button below and organise a professional sharpener to put a completely new edge on your set of knives, you won't regret it!

11.01.2022 I'm doing some sharpening tomorrow... if y'all would like your serviced, drop em off & I'll get em crazy sharp for youI'm doing some sharpening tomorrow... if y'all would like your serviced, drop em off & I'll get em crazy sharp for you

11.01.2022 Factory (manufacturers) Edge vs a knife support edge! Just threw this one together quickly. I was able to get the blade around 30-40% sharper than the factory edge. One of these days I'll stop being lazy and film better

11.01.2022 Not just knives! We sharpen all sorts of garden tools! Been doing quite a lot of these lately as pruning season is well and truly upon us! I'm confident that many of your rusty old garden tools could be restored to as good as new, so don't buy a new pair, save some money and send them in to Knife Support!

10.01.2022 Really lovely knife showing some impressive cutting ability after sharpening.

10.01.2022 A lil before and after vid showing some hand polishing work I did today on a lovely Japanese knife. Polishing is an extra service we offer, see pinned post for pricing ;)

10.01.2022 Free pick up and delivery for Orange customers who reside in town (for a short time only). Would you be interested? This Knife support promo expires 12th March.

10.01.2022 Replacement equipment for the sharpening system I use. This has to be ordered directly from Amazon US who don't send to Aus so it's a bit of a lengthy + expensive freight process so bulk is best! This should last a year or so. Anyone want their knives sharpened for Christmas? Now is a good time!

09.01.2022 I do it for the satisfaction it brings me to sharpen restore blades! Like washing and polishing a car, all shiny and new :D

08.01.2022 Had fun putting this crazy edge on quite an interesting lil collectors blade

08.01.2022 A few changes coming... going to start offering free pickup/delivery within town for orders over $50, price of scissors is being dropped a bit and considering re-working pricing on a few other things... stay tuned ;)

This is always the busiest time of year it seems, but don't hesitate to contact me if you need anything sharpened :D

05.01.2022 So a funny thing happened, I think I accidently gave my personal kitchen knives away to one of my lovely customers. No idea who, but if anyone was gifted a Wusthof Ikon classic around June, please let me know

05.01.2022 We're now back up and running with a replacement knife sharpener after the last one gave up the ghost (RIP), am now based in a new location but am still offering free pick up and delivery for the remainder of the COVID19 situation. Inbox me for enquiries ;)

01.01.2022 Here's the results and a little tour of my sharpening station with some of the gear I use to sharpen blades :)

01.01.2022 So I thought of and organised a lil knife sharpening comp with some fellow sharpening enthusiasts from a knife forum I'm on and this YouTuber (he's a lil strange) did the testing... Some interesting results: https://youtu.be/fEzK0OUxgQM
