24.01.2022 Travel advice for Greater Brisbane ACT Health is reminding people that anyone who has been in Brisbane City Council or Moreton Bay Regional Council areas of G...reater Brisbane anytime from 11 March 2021, need to get tested for COVID-19 and isolate until they have a negative result. From midday today (Sunday 28 March 2021) a new Public Health Direction and a COVID-19 Areas of Concern Notice have come into effect that requires anyone entering or already in the ACT who has been in Greater Brisbane on or after 11 March 2021, to complete an online declaration form within 24 hours. The Greater Brisbane area includes the following councils: City of Brisbane, City of Ipswich, Logan City, Moreton Bay Region and Redlands City. The online declaration is here: https://actredcap.act.gov.au/redcap/surveys/?s=ENA34MC3TR In completing the online declaration, people will be required to identify whether they have attended any of the close or casual contact exposure locations identified by the Queensland Government at the specified times. The Queensland Health advice is here: https://www.qld.gov.au//cor/current-status/contact-tracing People who have been in a close contact exposure location need to quarantine for 14 days, get tested and call ACT Health on (02) 6207 7244. People who have been in a casual exposure location need to get tested, isolate until they have a negative test result, and call ACT Health on (02) 6207 7244. People who have been in the City of Brisbane or Moreton Bay region of Greater Brisbane anytime from 11 March 2021 are required to get tested and isolate until they have a negative test result. This does not include people who have transited through the Brisbane Airport only. People who have been in the Ipswich, Logan, or Redland area or elsewhere in QLD, please stay up to date with ACT Health and Queensland Health advice. You don’t need to get tested or isolate at this time, unless you develop symptoms. The situation in Queensland will continue to evolve over the coming days, with confirmation of community transmission of the B.1.1.7 (UK) variant, and contact tracing by Queensland Health authorities ongoing. ACT Health is continuing to monitor the situation in Queensland closely and will respond further if needed. However, with Easter and the school holidays starting next weekend, it is important that anyone with upcoming travel plans is keeping up to date with the situation in Queensland and be prepared to change travel plans at short notice.
