24.01.2022 Why is there six buttons when you only have two that are used? A lot of elements of suits, and mens style in general, is there for the fashion and history only, and has no real purpose. Originally, double breasted suits had six buttons, three functional. However, as fashion changed and jackets became shorter and slimmer, the three button fastening became impracticable. To keep the tradition of six buttons, tailors created the look you see here, a look that has become the norm for many years, and will be in fashion for many years to come.

15.01.2022 One of out latest bespoke, womens overcoats. Other than the cut, you can tell this was made for a women by the buttons. Womens buttons are on the left and mens are on the right. The jury is out as to why this is, but the prevailing theory is that buttons on the left would get caught when duelling, either with pistols or swords, as such, it was seen as being more manly to have the buttons on the right.

10.01.2022 Tailors Tip: Subtle prints and textures are great for those that can never seem to keep their suits clean. The weave masks the small marks you get when dropping your roll onto your suit - weve found that out the hard way.

10.01.2022 Return of the Neapolitan shoulder - by Knightsman. May not be the most talked about comeback of 2020 but we're excited. The Neapolitan shoulder is famous for having excess fabric in the sleeve-head, creating the distinctive 'bunching' seen in the picture.

To work around that weve created a super breathable construction and canvassing (exclusive to Knightsman), combined with extremely lightweight fabrics (220-240gr).
