24.01.2022 Official Announcement from the NKVC Board. The Board of The Northern Knights Volleyball Club has come to a decision to not put any senior teams in the VSA South Australian Volleyball League for the current 2020 season. You would all agree that, this year has been strange and provided a rapidly changing unknown dynamic. This has created an interesting landscape, from which to plan and make decisions. Particularly in regards to the VSA 2020 league season. Thus, the Board apolo...gise for an lack of clarity, and or miscommunication about the clubs plans for the 2020 season. Strangely, from the wider environment of external uncertainty, adversity and challenges, it has given opportunity for reflection, of who we want to become and what we want for the future. The Board feels, and is excited that, now is an opportunistic time to implement a vision that, it has been developing for some time. The NKVC Board have been working towards a vision for the holistic growth, development and expansion of a thriving volleyball community, locally based, in the Northern Suburbs. The aim, is to foster and build, strong vibrant community, social, junior and elite player groups, from and within the communities, to which we belong. The Board is, as we speak, proactively investing resource and substance into this vision. To build a substantial and robust volleyball community, right where we live. A community, to which we would love for you to belong. Whose influence, connection and impact will most certainly be local, state, and national, and who knows, even international. We are excited and would love you to be part of it. Other News New look website currently under construction, launching soon. Northern Junior League will be commencing Term 3. Where: Tyndale Christian School When: Monday nights (DATE STILL TO BE DETERMINED). Due to Covid-19 the Board is working with Tyndale Christian School to ensure a safe environment for the juniors in line with government rules and regulations. Please be patient with us as we want to get this right for the safety of our volleyball community as well as the wider community. Updates will be posted here.

23.01.2022 Some angry yes - but definitely gotta love a ‘passionate’ coach who sticks up for his team and players. Not the yelling at the players that’s never fun.

23.01.2022 Hopefully we will be in a gym soon as a group mucking around like this again. VSA have to provide a plan to the sporting and recreation section of the government outlining the way we can get back to social and competitive volleyball. This plan has been submitted but like the other 40 plans from other sporting communities needs to be checked and looked over. We as a club are also working towards a plan that we need to submit to VSA. It’s a process and I understand you’re all wanting to get back to volleyball as much as we are. But keeping our community safe and adhering to government requirements and rules is a top priority for the club. Stay tuned hopefully some better news soon.

07.01.2022 Great match between long time rivals Russia and Germany Some facts: Russia played a very young non experienced team in the 2019 VNL. Doing this to avoid injuries to their top players saving them for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. This gave great opportunities to their up and coming stars of volleyball
