18.01.2022 I love to do a couple of big projects during the year, in between smaller scarves, hats and wraps. This one is in true SAORI style starting with a 4.5mt warp, woven with silk, wool, boucle, hand dyed wool single and some handspun . Cut into 3 strips, joined at the selvedges to make a big square, turned on angle, armholes cut in and then put binding on. Can be worn upside down to create shorter vest .

12.01.2022 Here are the finished pieces from my rigid heddle loom weaving workshop. Loved the serenity these enthusiastic students practiced during their journey through weaving traditions and techniques. After an evening of homework they completed their piece the next day, showing added pops of colour as various weaving techniques. Feeling chuffed at all they have achieved, well done.

04.01.2022 Updating what has been happening in this very different year. My life has changed a bit this year after I sold my dear little house in Drake to move out to our property in hills just out of Drake, and loving it btw. As we have moved into a small cabin while we await the arrival of our timber queensland home, all of my craft goodies have been packed in boxes and most weaving has been put on hold. Unable to do nothing, a small amount of slow stitching including some Boro and Sashiko styles have kept me creating and I have up-cycled a couple of denim jackets. I am still at Make it Tenterfield and have been tutoring workshops, photos of which have already posted. I hope everyone has a great Christmas and the New Year brings us all closer together, with love Mary-Ann xxx
