17.01.2022 This woman's story just breaks my heart. I just keep saying to myself: "Surely she is loved and missed? Surely she is important to at least one person?" Queens...land Police have been trying to identify her for 10 days now. She was left outside the Nambour hospital on the Sunshine Coast on September 6 by a good Samaritan who found her wandering the streets near Mooloolah Valley. She is aged in her 80s. When she was found she was barely able to speak and had no identification on her. She has started to communicate, but is still unable to tell police who she is. Many people believed she was Marian Wallace, a woman in her 70s who disappeared on Bribie Island in 2014. Cops have confirmed this lady is not Marian. The Vulnerable Persons Unit is investigating and she remains in a stable condition in the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. While she is getting the best of care, I can't help but be worried that a woman - who may well be a mum, a grandmother, an aunt and surely someone's friend - can exist in limbo like this? How is it that no one knows this woman? Is our society really one where a woman aged in her 80s is not missed by anyone? Anyone who knows her is urged to contact Police immediately.
