21.01.2022 Why is this so bloody hard to remember sometimes????? I’ve never wanted to be like everyone else, there are no surprises there. Yet I found myself stuck in fear and doubt about releasing my kits. There I was trying to record just the bloody intro for them, and it was NOT going well . See I scripted up a storm to make sure I said everything I wanted to but it wasn’t feeling natural to me. I felt like I was trying to do it a certain way so I would look and sound more prof...essional. Instead I just looked and sounded like a dick . So instead of getting more frustrated at myself, I went and made this sign. I stuck it over my notes and then nailed my intro in the next take . I might not be uber professional and I might write the word dick in my posts as I have above, but I’m me. Ok so now I’ve gotten over myself, maybe now I can record the tutorials . Moral of the story my friends, just be yourself. No one can do that better than you . See more

This review also nails the feeling of satisfaction a beginner maker feels when they finish their first ever piece, then step back, look with eyes wide open and think wholly sh*t, I just made that! ... It’s quite possibly that feeling that gets you hooked. It starts with shock that you actually made something, then your so bloody proud of yourself you can’t help but smile from ear to ear and then the satisfaction and excitement that you made what you set out to make AND it actually looks decent . 12.01.2022 My very first kit review . I recently purchased two of your DIY macrame kits - the key chain and wall hanging kits. I just wanted to let you know how much I appreciated the amount of work you put into these kits explaining all of the knots, each step of the project and the lovely clear photographs in your instructions as well as your tutorial.... I also purchased another kit from someone else, which was also good but it really highlighted to me how much extra effort and detail you had put into your products so beginners like me could enjoy the process without being overwhelmed. 09.01.2022 Wholly shit you guys, my macrame kits are now LIVE in my shop . I started my biz with it all being about me and my journey and now it’s grown to be about you and yours . I want to shout from the rooftops my mission in the hope that every woman takes a sec to stop and listen.... Here’s the thing. If you can tie your shoelaces you can tie macrame knots. If you have time to sit in front of the tv you have time to create. I know how hard it is to find time for yourself but I also know how imperative it is that you do. We are all busy women with busy lives but I’m living proof that if you don’t find even just half an hour a day to do something that’s just for you, you’ll break. Let me help you. Let me show you the magic that comes when you start to include creativity in your day . And whilst we’re at it, why not teach our kids the benefits of crafting. It relaxes, gives the mind a focus and allows us to do something for ourselves. All of this is what my kits are designed for. This video is so you can see what you are sending them and why they’re so thankful that you did . I’ve recently discovered a local Perth based business that focuses on environmentally friendly and sustainable alternatives to regular printing and I knew I had to get them onboard. @theenvironmentalprintingco uses 100% recycled paper and vegetable based inks when printing and is all about encouraging us to print green. I’ve printed everything from the kits instruction booklets and knot guide to thank you cards and stickers an...d look at how beautiful they all turned out . 02.01.2022 Want to know how I stayed sane with 3 kids under 3?? I won’t lie, this pic creates some anxiety for me as we had just moved to Broome for a country posting with work. Eddie and Sam were almost 1 and Jacob was nearly 3. It was a time when I had no family support, I had postnatal depression, I was completely overwhelmed and struggled every day with the responsibilities of being a mum. ... Then one day I saw an ad for a macrame workshop and I knew if I didn’t take some time out for myself, all the pieces of myself that I was trying to hold together would shatter. So I went. In 2 short hours I discovered I hadn’t thought about the kids and I was actually having fun and smiling. I was 100% surprised and shocked when I finished my wall hanging as I genuinely didn’t think I had the crafty gene in me. Everyday after that workshop I made time to create after I put the kids to bed. No matter how tired I was. It calmed me and my mind when nothing else I had tried could. Macrame gave me back a piece of me that I had lost after having the kids and this is what I want to show other mums how to get back and why I’ve created my kits. You don’t need to be ‘crafty’ to create. You just need to believe you deserve some time out for yourself to give it a crack. 01.01.2022 Encourage them to get creative . This little legend here is Amelia. Millie is 13 years old and nailed both the beginner key chain and wall hanging kit . Well the wall hanging kit was supposed to be for her mum but Millie loved watching my tutorials and following along so much, she got to the other kit before her mum could .... Whilst mum was a little sad she missed out, she was also super happy and said she loved seeing her daughter get off her electronics and be so creative . So whilst I’m trying to encourage more women to take some time out for themselves and incorporate creativity in their day, why don’t we also encourage our kids to do the same whilst we’re at it .
