25.01.2022 Employees are the heart of all businesses; they keep us going. It is important to take care of them and ensure that they are looked after in all situations. But whilst you are looking after them, are you taking care of yourself too? When we are under pressure and stressed it can impact the way we perform in business and in turn, impact your team. As much as you may be looking after your employees, it is important to step back and ensure you are not forgotten. Some simple thin...gs you can do to make sure you take care of yourself is to: 1. Give yourself a break. Both in the sense of taking a time out to breathe and taking away some of the pressures you place on yourself and your business. 2. Communicate honestly with your team. Tell them how you are feeling and what you are thinking when it comes to the business. They are there to work with you and can be more helpful then you think. 3. Give yourself credit for your work. Sit back and reflect on what you have achieved so far and reward yourself. You may be first to reward your team when they achieve something but don’t forget to congratulate your efforts too. #accountingfirm #melbourneaccountant #charteredaccountant #financialplanning #support #knottgroup #businessowners #cashflow #communicate #teamsupport

12.01.2022 Have you heard of a clarity plan? Planning your future means making the decision to take control and not leave your financial future up to fate. Financial planning exists so you can actually experience the future you want to have. Clarity on what you want that future to look like is a prerequisite. However, day-to-day life can be noisy and disruptive and gets in the way of the actions you must attend to. That is why we need clarity.... Lacking any real clarity about your future means that you won't be able to develop a solid list of all the action items you need to take so your desired future has a higher probability of actually happening. Having a detailed clarity plan is going to set you up for success. This is why this is the first action I take with my clients to ensure we are setting clear goals and starting on the right track to kicking some serious financial success stories. #clarityplan #financialplanning #personalgoals #financialgoals #knottgroup #accoutingfirm #largescaleclients #businessowners #accoutants #business #bookkeeping #charteredaccountant #businesstips #taxes #payroll #incometax #accountingservices #futureproof

01.01.2022 We don’t claim to be an expert, We are far from nailing the perfect working from home system. However, here are just a few of our top tips for better efficiency when working from home. 1. Give yourself regular work hours...this might be starting earlier at say 6am because you need to get the kids ready for home school by 9am. But at least you can get 3 hours of work done before the rest of the house is stirring. 2. Plan your workflow...before you even start your day map out ...your priorities. Stick to those first and get to the less important tasks later in the day. 3. Dress for the job...ok I am not saying you have to wear a suit, but at least get out of your weekend tracksuit that your wife has been telling you to get rid of since you married her in 2006. 4. Create a ‘home office’.....creating a space that is just for work that you can close a door on or walk away from when you are longer on ‘work time’. 5. Stay in the loop.schedule time with your team. If you are a leader make sure you have dedicated time with each of your staff members at least once a week. And then when you can organise group meetings at the end of the day to reconnect with your whole team. #workingfromhome #knottgroup #tips #challenges #wfh #stayconnected
