24.01.2022 At our new bakery at KOTO Villa we baked this very lovely cake for a very lovely lady. This superstar, Ms. Phan Hoang Hoa, Director of Operations at Apollo English, just donated 25 million to help feed our current cohort of hungry KOTO trainees! And it’s not the first time. Hoa has been a long-time supporter of KOTO. Most notably, she was instrumental in establishing KOTO’s partnership with Apollo English, where she has just celebrated working for 25 years! We'd be lost without Apollo and we'd be lost without supporters like Hoa. Thanks Hoa!

23.01.2022 There are so many things to be thankful for. Thanks to our sponsors and partners, who continue to invest in our program to make the smiles of our trainees last forever. Thanks to our customers who visit us each day at KOTO Villa and give our trainees a chance to practise their skills through delivering the best customer service possible. Thanks to our team who always stay true to our mission in changing the lives of many street kids and disadvantaged youth, our alumni who a...re role models to our trainees and lend us a helping hand through thick and thin. Thanks to our trainees for their commitments and belief in our program, together we build a family. Happy Thanksgiving to all KOTO friends, because of you, we are able to make the many dreams come true for our trainees.

22.01.2022 We are beyond grateful for the kind support of Wilmar CLV who have been long term sponsors of our KOTO trainees. Over the past year, they've donated an array of high-quality cooking products such as olive oil, flour and pasta which significantly helped our trainees as they completed their practical training. This precious gift allowed our trainees to engage in new cooking styles and methods and learn how to use European fine food products for their dishes. On behalf of KOTO, we thank Wilmar CLV for their outstanding contribution.

22.01.2022 KOTO Villa was officially opened by the Australian Ambassador to Vietnam, Her Excellency Robyn Mudie. Together we build a new HOME <3 for our trainees. This is the place where we will share good food, great service, big smiles, a training ground for street kids and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam. We thank all sponsors and supporters who have joined us in making this special milestone for KOTO Villa possible.

21.01.2022 We are back! Last Sunday, 15th of November, KOTO Villa had its soft opening on the colorful alley of 31 Xuan Dieu (22G 31/46), after the closure of our Van Mieu’s restaurant. KOTO Villa features a wider range of new dishes in a relaxed and warm atmosphere. Not only that but KOTO Villa will continue to be the training ground for our KOTO trainees to fine-tune their skills in the culinary and hospitality world. We are so thrilled to see our trainees and staff in uniforms again ...and that they create such positive energy ready to embrace this new journey. To complete our renovation, your support will be greatly appreciated. With Buy a Brick - Build a new HOME the funds will go directly towards building KOTO Villa, the new home for our trainees. With each brick donated by you, it will also come with a chance to inscribe your name or message on our Dream Builders Wall located in our new restaurant. To learn more and donate, please visit: https://www.koto.com.au/be-a-dream-builder -- KOTO Villa is open daily from 7AM to 10PM Can’t wait to see you soon at 22G 31/46 Xuan Dieu, Tay Ho.

16.01.2022 This past Saturday, cyclists from over 10 + different countries participated in our annual KOTO Dream Ride. We adapted the event this year allowing cyclists to take part from anywhere in the world but with one common goal; to raise money to change the lives of disadvantaged & at-risk youth in Vietnam. We had over seventy people ride in Hanoi around the atmospheric West Lake and ended with a brunch at our new training restaurant, KOTO Villa. On behalf of all of us at KOTO, we... would like to express our gratitude to The Intrepid Foundation who co-hosted the event and sponsored us. Thank you to UNIS Hanoi, Intrepid Vietnam, Nova Vietnam and all the individuals who supported us and contributed to this year’s successful event. Without your support, we wouldn’t be able to continue to transform and empower our trainees for their careers in the hospitality industry. There’s still time to donate to KOTO at https://koto-ride.raisely.com/ Check out our video here of our Hanoi team! https://youtu.be/sbRzbeyc-eY

16.01.2022 Thank you to all those that came to the KOTO Winter Appeal yesterday at our training center. It's always a wonderful chance for us to demonstrate exactly where your donations are going and to meet our friendly trainees. Special thanks to British University Vietnam, KPMG Vietnam, HopeBox, Maison Saint-Honoré, Telio.vn for their generous donation and support for KOTO. Pre-COVID-19, our Winter Appeal would mean our team head up north and cook pho for the local community as a w...ay to give back. Unfortunately, this year, we had to do things a little differently but there was still a warm bowl of soup in honor of our tradition! The morning started with some great dances from the trainees, an award ceremony and was followed by a delicious lunch of Bun Bo all prepared by KOTO alumni. Thank you for your support for our Winter Appeal and helping at-risk and disadvantaged youth in Vietnam.

16.01.2022 It's less than two weeks until our annual Dream Ride. Despite all the challenges that COVID-19 has thrown at us, we're still trying to bring this event to life. This year, for the first time, KOTO Dream Ride will go global as well as local in Hanoi. Currently, we have riders signed up from 10+ countries and we're looking for more riders to sign up and raise funds to help change the lives of disadvantaged and at-risk youth in Vietnam. We have raised $11, 064 out of the $50,00...0 goal. Your fundraising efforts and participation means the future of KOTO trainees. It allows us to continue the work that we are doing, bring food to the table for our kids, make sure they have a roof on their head and most importantly, transform their lives through education, love and care. We invite you to sign up for our ride on the 5th of December 2020 from wherever you are by visiting: https://koto-ride.raisely.com/ The simplest step is to create an online account, select the distance you want to ride and send the information to family and friends for this worthwhile cause. If participating in KOTO Dream Ride is not suitable for you, you can contribute to our alumnus at: https://koto-ride.raisely.com/huongridestobuilddreamsforkot

15.01.2022 WELCOME OUR NEW PARTNER: APOLLO KOTO is delighted to announce that we will be entering a training partnership with Apollo Vietnam. Apollo was founded in 1995 with a mission to foster prosperity by promoting education. Since then, they have continued to be the pioneer in English education in Vietnam: providing quality education for all ages. The importance of education has always been emphasised at KOTO, that is why we are extremely thankful for this partnership. This will p...rovide an opportunity for KOTO trainees to learn English under a curated curriculum and access to learning resources, free of charge. The ESP (English for specific purposes - Hospitality) was carefully developed by both Apollo and KOTO to provide a dynamic and professional learning experience. Additionally, at the end of the course, our trainees will be able to receive a joint Apollo/KOTO English certification. Thank you Apollo for the support to continue helping disadvantaged youths in Vietnam!

15.01.2022 TASTE THE STORY - KOTO ALUMNI Like many young girls, Huong started babysitting to earn some money. But for Huong this wasn’t pocket money - she was 12 and it was vital income to support her single mother and two siblings. It also necessitated her moving from her home in rural Vietnam to Hanoi. She earned a meagre $10 per month. In 2006, a chance conversation with a friend would completely transform her life - she was introduced to KOTO. In the years that followed, Huong stu...died at KOTO, went on to study a Masters degree at University and is now working as the Director of Partnerships and Marketing at KOTO. On 5th December, Huong will be proudly riding in the KOTO Dream Ride to raise funds for the vital work that they do. The ride is a global event and Huong hopes that wherever you are in the world you will either take part by riding or sponsoring so that more former street kids can transform their lives just as Huong did. 11.01.2022 TASTE THE STORY - KOTO ALUMNI Born into a farming family in Vinh Phuc province, Trieu's mother was tragically killed in a traffic accident. A few years later, his father passed away from alcohol abuse and left Trieu's stepmother to raise Trieu and his three siblings. Trieu moved to Hanoi and became the breadwinner for his family. He worked hard to earn enough money to send home. Trieu arrived at KOTO in 2004 and studied Front of House. He had hoped to graduate with better En...glish language skills and a stable job in the hospitality industry. Little did he know, that thanks to KOTO, he would end up with a bachelor’s degree, live and work in Australia, and financially sponsor a KOTO Trainee. In 2012, Trieu won a scholarship to TAFE NSW to study Hospitality Management before earning a bachelor’s degree at Le Cordon Bleu. Trieu relocated to Echuca, Australia and now works as General Manager for QUEST Echuca. He is also a KOTO International Board Member and helps to raise funds for KOTO Vietnam, and provides support to other alumni who study and work in Melbourne. Trieu and his fellow KOTO alumni in Australia will be riding for KOTO Dream Ride 2020. Please donate to his ride here and help KOTO change more lives like Trieu's. https://koto-ride.raisely.com/trieu-rides-for-koto

04.01.2022 MEET EMILY Emily is hiking the Pacific Crest Trail to raise money for KOTO. For 5 months, she will complete a 2600 miles (4265km) trail starting from Mexico and finishing in Canada. Growing up in Hampshire, England, Emily always loved being surrounded by nature. Her passion for outdoor life ignited once again when she moved back from London to Hampshire due to COVID-19. Waking up to breathtaking natural scenery, she decided to do something she has always dreamed of: walking... the whole Pacific Crest Trail. KOTO is extremely grateful for her support to help break the poverty cycle for youths who are at-risks in Vietnam. The donation will go straight to KOTO as her trip is entirely self-funded. Currently, she has been able to successfully raise $1015 of the target of $6500. With every donation, you are contributing to the training, training tools and providing meals to help our trainees thrive in their years at KOTO. All donations are tax deductible for English and American taxpayers.
