13.01.2022 If or when Isolation comes Its going to be a stressful time for everyone, employees, contractors, small business, large business, we will all feel the pinch one way or another. If (or more accurately) when we end up in forced isolation for small business, its important for mental and business health not to get comfortable on the couch and succumb to Netflix binges.... You can still be working on your business, even if its not income producing it can give you the edge for when things start to move towards normality. While you have some off the tools time, here are 6 things you can work on and put in place: 1. Improving your Processes. Create checklists, employee manuals and document on how your business process work. Take this opportunity to research software that can automate your processes for you and reduce your time and produce the same outcome. A good way to think about it is how can I remove myself from some tasks and still have the business run productively. 2. Make some connections Being in isolation will make some people start climbing the walls so reach out to that connection you have been meaning to create, start creating leads and referral partners. You may not be able to grab a coffee with them but there is Skype, Zoom and the simple phone call. 3. Business Plan If you dont have one already, START. Start with where you want to be in 12 months and how to get there. Work backwards to beak it up using relevant KPI targets. 4. Work on your Budget & Forecast Start planning your next 12 months work out your projected income and expenses and what you can reinvest back into the business for growth. 5. Marketing Reach out to a marketing professional so you get the jump as things start moving back to the way they were. 6. Find a way to give back A great way to help your mental health is by helping others, if you can find a way that can help others individually or other businesses why not, it doesnt have to cost you anything apart from your time and expertise. But could be invaluable to others in need. Here is my Give Back for 3 local small businesses Ill help them create and advise how to manage a Business Plan & a Budget and Forecast for the next 12 months. Email me the following information to register your interest. o Name o Business Industry o Annual Turnover o Do you have or have you ever had a Business Plan and/or Budget? o How has the Corona Virus affected you and your business?
