24.01.2022 This is true in every aspect of your life! Be it marriage, parenting, family, friendships or your business. When you are with someone, give them your full attention

24.01.2022 So I published my website last week, but I only just now got around to doing my first blog entry - Explaining the name of my new business (credit to my hubby though, as he is the one who came up with the name!). Here you go: https://knowledgeinsight.com.au/blog/

24.01.2022 If you dont know who you are, others might try to tell you who they think you are. If you dont know who you are, youll subconsciously let other people pressure you into believing youre somebody youre not. A lot of stress comes from our hiding behind masks, living double lives, being unreal with others, and trying to be somebody were not. Insecurity always produces pressure in our lives; when were insecure we feel coerced into performing and conforming. We set unrealis...tic standards for ourselves, and even though we work, work, work, we still cant meet them. To overcome stress you must know who you are, and until you deal decisively with this issue youll be plagued by it.

22.01.2022 While enjoying this tranquil photo of my favourite place, let's talk numbers... . "If poetry is the language of love, then numbers are the language of business" (quote from @businessfoundationsinc). . It is absolutely essential to track and analyse your business finances in order to work out whether your business is flourishing or struggling.... . In order to make a bigger profit (which you will need if you want to grow your business), you either need to increase your sales or you need to decrease your expenses. . If your accounts are up to date, it will be easier to see if you make an unnecessary payment or if a mistake sneaks in on a supplier invoice. Also try to stay up to date on current costs for specific services, this will help ensure you don't pay more for something than what you ought to. . If numbers are not your thing, your bookkeeping & accounts are something you can easily outsource. See more

22.01.2022 Take care of yourself so that you can be at your best. Take time out this festive season to be with loved ones. What are you doing these holidays? comment and let us know. We will be camping, which means tech-free zone and lots of family time

19.01.2022 Build it yourself website platforms are easier to use than having to build a site from scratch with software you know nothing about. But even these d-i-y sites have a learning curve, and sometimes you just don't have the time to figure it out... Don't fret, I can help you with that. Get in touch today to book your free 1 hour consult. Here is a link to the latest website I completed for a client. It has now been handed over and the client can update and manage it herself. https://www.lylafoto.com/

19.01.2022 Today I am just going to be a mum. Putting the work aside and spending the day with my boys. The older one is home with a cold, and the younger one is having a "mental health day". That's the beauty of working for yourself, having systems in place and having flexibility. If you need to free up more of your prescious time, get in touch today to discuss how I can help you. Spend your time on the things you value most!... #mumboss

19.01.2022 What is your favourite productivity tool? I discovered "toggl" just over a month ago, and I am loving it. It is free time tracking software. It let's you add different clients, different projects and different groups. You then just pick the project and client you are working on, and it tracks the time for you. You can then draw weekly reports. This is helping me with invoicing as I can now easily keep track of how much time I am spending on each client. But it also helps me to keep track of my own time - it is so easy to get lost and spend heaps more time on something that what you intended to. I will post a link to this tool in the comments.

18.01.2022 It is referred to as your Unique Selling Point (USP)or Market Value Proposition (MVP) --> it means that thing you do that makes you different to everyone else... . Customers will buy their goods and services from wherever they feel that their needs are being met, UNLESS something makes you stand out. . So, what makes you stand out from the rest? What makes your product different? Why should a client buy from you instead of a competitor?... . Have a think about what "problem" you are solving for a client, what need you are meeting and then think how you can do this in a very unique way that will keep customers coming back for more... 18.01.2022 So I discovered this this afternoon. I was checking the links to my sites from my fb business pages and I got an error message. It seems that facebook mobile does not recognise the url's I had on my pages as secure so it was blocked. I also checked out my clients pages and links and some of my friends. To fix this, go to your business page. Go down to "about" and check your website url. If it is just http://before your domain name, facebook mobile is blocking people from goi...ng to your website. Change the url to httpS://yourdomainname, save, and you are set to go. It does not seem to make a difference on a desktop, but I have checked about a dozen business pages and their links, and the one thing they all have in common (the ones that throw out an error message), is the missing "s" in their url. Disclaimer: This will obviously only work if your website is secure - which it should be if it was done by a developer Hope this helps someone today

17.01.2022 What a great day. Such an amazing organisation too

16.01.2022 Grit: She is unshakable not because she doesn't know pain or failure, but because she always pushes through. Because she always shows up and never gives up. Because she believes anything is possible no matter the odds. And perhaps what makes her beautiful has less to do with what lies upon the surface and more to do with what lies within. She isn't just beautiful because of her appearance. No, she is beautiful because of the way she chooses to live and love. In the way she e...mbraces all of life's experiences - good or bad. In her willingness to bend but never break, and in her courage to believe that the darkness can't hold her as long as she continues to create her own light. She is just like a pearl - made from grit but full of grace. She is unstoppable - she knows it's not what happens, but how she chooses to respond, with perseverance in her mind and passion in her heart. . . This is one of the most special gifts I have ever received... Not only do I love pearls and very dainty jewellery, but the thoughts and heart behind this gift is what makes it priceless... . . 16.01.2022 Wow, what a week... Thinking of everyone and praying for health and positivity for our country. Look after yourselves and your loved ones.

16.01.2022 It is tempting to look at someone else's success and think "they just caught a lucky break". Most likely that is not the case - that person created his/her own opportunity and then worked hard to make it a success. Explore, dream and create your own opportunity!! #dreambig #opportunity

15.01.2022 Original post by @servicesavvyllc Thank you everyone who has followed, liked and supported me over these past months. Keep supporting your friends and family with small buainess dreams

14.01.2022 Butterfly kisses... This lovely photo was taken by @chantelleventerphotography and it melts my heart every time I see it. My family is the reason that I had to change direction. Previously I was working so many hours a week that I never had time for my boys anymore... I wasn't just working when they were at school or at night when they were sleeping. I was working when they were home needing help with their homework. I was working when they needed someone to play games with t...hem after homework. I was working when I was supposed to be cooking them healthy meals. I was working when they needed me to read them a bedtime story and tuck them into bed. I was working Friday nights when they wanted to watch movies with me and I was working Saturdays when they wanted to spend time together as a family... I just could not bear it anymore... I had to stop myself and decide what is more important in my life - My business or my family. I chose my family. So here I am, trying to only work when they are at school. Spending time with them - helping them with their homework, playing board games with them, watching movies with them, watching them play outside and tucking them in at night. By no means am I achieving this 100% of the time, but I keep trying - I chose every day to put my family first. That is how I will measure my success from now on - is my family happy, healthy and cared for? The new business will work out the way it is supposed to if I keep my priorities straight. It might just take more time to grow, but that is okay. What is the most important thing in your life?

11.01.2022 Hi, I thought I would take some time to introduce myself to the new people. I'm Christine - wife, mum and extreme busy-body! I love numbers and have a brain that likes to analyse everything. Turns out I also have a creative streak (which I only discovered in my late 20's!) You can see some of my work at @Trendy Cakes . I am a qualified accountant who took time off after getting married and having our 2 boys... Being the busy-body that I am, I started a novelty cake business ...which I ran for almost 6 years. I put the cakes on hold for a bit and now I help other women to turn their hobbies into businesses. I love coffee and use any excuse I can to try out Perth's cafes. If you have a hobby you think can be profitable or even a small home business, shoot me a message - I would love to catch up and hear more about your venture. . 09.01.2022 My youngest has always been a character. He does not conform to standards and timelines set by others. When he was almost 2, he gave me his dummy and said "done". No more dummy after that. A couple of weeks ago, he told us to give away his balance bike because he is ready for his "big bike" now. He got on, no training wheels, no one was allowed to help him, and he just took off... I am trying to be more like that - not to pay attention to standards and timelines that others are trying to enforce - but just to do things my own way and when I feel ready for it... #myownway #growyourownway

08.01.2022 Know who you are trying to please. You can NOT please everybody. . When you lose sight of who youre trying to please youll always cave in to three things: (1) Criticism, because youre overly concerned about what others think of you. (2) Competition, because youre afraid somebody will get ahead of you.... (3) Conflict, because youre threatened by anyone who disagrees with you. . We love to blame stress on other people and on our obligations: You made me do I have to Ive got to. . Actually, there are few things in life apart from our jobs that we must do. So what were really saying is, I choose to [fill in the blank] because I dont want to handle the consequences otherwise. . Rarely does anybody make us do anything, so we cant blame other people for our stress. When we feel pressured, were choosing to let others put us there. The fact is, were not victims unless we allow ourselves to be pressured by outside demands. See more

08.01.2022 Displacement and how it relates to your business... This is me on the beach today. Referring back to the theory of displacement: that means I was not at home working in or on my business today. For every single thing you choose to do in your business, it means there is something else you will not be able to do.... For example if you spent 3 hours today researching how to build your website, that is 3 hours you were not able to use to produce your actual product (whatever that might be). If you spent 1 hour today creating social media content, that is one hour you did not have to meet with a potential new client. Now the thing is there are SO MANY things that needs to happen for a business to run smoothly. But as the owner, it is your responsibility to decide what is the best use of your time. Where are you the most valuable? Then choose to spend your time on those jobs and find a reliable person to outsource the other jobs to.

07.01.2022 There are so many different social media platforms out there, and they are all to be used slightly different. Here is a great cheat sheet on how to use the most popular ones...

06.01.2022 What an amazing day: #doactionperth - volunteers coming together to create websites for not-for-profit organisations. We had an awesome team, creating a site for iDareDream (supporting grandfamilies). I thoroughly enjoyed working with you all and look forward to the next #hackathon in Perth... Thanks @housedigitalau for organising, such a fabulous event!

06.01.2022 A new experience for me. Taking part in a promotional video for the WBA. Can't wait to see the finished product

05.01.2022 Happy Wednesday people!

05.01.2022 What a way to start the morning, an ocean swim at dawn... What an amazing place we live in. Backstory to this: I have never been a morning person (I grew up having insomnia, so never went to bed early as I knew I wouldn't be able to sleep anyway). ... However, I have been working hard to make some serious lifestyle changes and now am able to get up early in the morning and get some excercise in before the day starts... My point in telling you this is, it is never too late to start creating some healthy and good habits. What lifestyle changes are you planning on making this year?

03.01.2022 Wishing everyone a blessed, healthy and joyful 2020.

03.01.2022 This put a smile on my face - but it also got me thinking... Are you dreaming? And do you set goals? More importantly, do you plan and take action? What is one thing you will do this week to reach one of your goals?

01.01.2022 Character - does yours shine through in your business and your life?

01.01.2022 Watch your thoughts, they become words. Watch your words, they become actions. Watch your actions, they become habits. Watch your habits, they become character. Watch your character, it becomes your destiny.... - Lao Tzu Live intentionally
