15.01.2022 At Kids+ we consider ourselves very fortunate to be surrounded by some incredible regional towns and to have the connections we do! Today Adam accompanied Jhett to Benalla to visit WDSS CRT Wayne Cox, for a day on the farm! Jhett enjoyed a ride on the 4 wheeler and getting to know the cows.

14.01.2022 Two wonderful young men, Sebastian and Julian, have been participating in Social Sessions run by The Play Project. On Saturday they made this Christmas Tree from scratch! Love your work boys and thanks to Sarah and Steph for helping!

13.01.2022 **SUCCESS STORY TIME** Pictured is young Julian with one of our tremendous support workers Adam. Only a few weeks ago, Julian struggled with confidence when it came to riding a bike. Fast forward to now, thanks to many fantastic sessions with our support workers, Julian is now not only confident with riding a bike, but thoroughly enjoys exploring all the different bike tracks around Wangaratta. ... What a fantastic job Julian has done, and congratulations to the support workers who have worked so well with Julian to increase his confidence, which will translate to many other areas of his life.

13.01.2022 Trip to Paradise Falls- 08/07 What a day... smiles were on all our faces for the whole day. Very lucky to see lots of water at the waterfall, a dinosaur (first photo) and enjoyed some delicious sausages and marshmallows for lunch!

12.01.2022 A couple of weeks ago, saw one of our boys, Charley celebrate his 9th birthday with his friends! Fair to say this smile was maintained through the whole party. Happy 9th birthday Charley, from everybody at Kids Plus!

11.01.2022 Today was a very special day for the boys group! We had TWO birthdays to celebrate. Declan’s 8th birthday is today, with Elijahs 9th birthday on Sunday. We decorated cake, exchanged presents, played pass the parcel and had a great day outside in the sun. Happy birthday boys, way to celebrate it with your friends!

09.01.2022 Wonderful Julian features again tonight! This time, Julian went out of his comfort zone to visit a dairy farm on a very early and very cold morning. Having never been to a farm before, Julian proved to be a natural amongst the animals, and a quick learner when it comes to driving a Kubota. (Even reverse parked it at the end of the day). Well done Julian for getting out there and having a go! Doing everyone here at Kids Plus super proud

09.01.2022 Fishing day at Mountain Fresh Trout and Salmon Farm- 06/07 The day may have ended in only one fish being caught - well done Spencer! - but that didn’t stop the good time happening! Everyone enjoyed their day and got to witness everybody else at the farm catching fish...

09.01.2022 Our Friday night boys group is staying strong through the COVID restrictions Just because things are closed does not mean the fun has to stop for the young ones. Here they are enjoying each others company, working on their social skills while playing board games outside. Hope everybody is staying safe and happy through these tricky times

03.01.2022 Much more successful trip to the fish farm this time around! Everyone showed their best fisherman skills during the holidays, with (most) the boys not afraid to get their hands dirty!

03.01.2022 Pictured is an art therapy activity that one of our support workers, Abbey, introduced to one of her participants. What a great way to develop young people’s understanding of feelings, and how different factors impact on feelings. What a fun activity that has many benefits to go with it. Well done!

02.01.2022 Here we have another proud horse rider! Kendra has been doing horse riding lessons at Kurrajong Park Equestrian Centre and her confidence on a horse has gone through the roof! Well done Kendra, and thanks to the crew at Kurrajong Park Equestrian Centre for all your hard work.
