25.01.2022 We know you are all excited to get back out on the the training field - so are we! However, at this stage all classes are still on hold temporarily. When we have more information we will post it on our FB page, in our FB group, and on the website. We thank you for your patience. KODC Social Media Team
24.01.2022 No Classes will be held on Tuesday (16th Feb) evening this week due to new Victorian Government Covid-19 restrictions.
24.01.2022 Classes have been suspended due to Covid-19 Stage 3 restrictions enacted by the Victoria Government. We will keep you up-to-date, but for now, there will be NO CLASSES for at least 6 weeks, while Metro Melbourne is in lockdown 2.0. STAY SAFE EVERYONE!
23.01.2022 Presentations, final classes for 2020, and sausage sizzle Sunday 20th December. All members welcome.
23.01.2022 Hi KODC members, We have council approval for the club to be open on 22/11/2020. As per COVID requirements ONLY ONE CLASS per person per week for now.... Classes will be running as normally as we can with classes 2, 3 and 4 being from 8:30 to 9:30. Baby Puppies, Beginners and Class 1 will now start at 10:00 and run for 30 mins. The Obedience ring will be running from 8:30. Normal Agility class times will apply. All members will need to sign in and get a number before heading to class, as we will need to limit class sizes to 10 (however we can have multiple classes running at the same time). Members with PURPLE MEMBERSHIP CARDS will need to have these changed over to YELLOW at the office. Please note: we will need to keep your purple card. This changeover DOES NOT need to happen immediately; it is probably easier if you do this after your class (as opposed to before) at some time over the next few weeks. See you Sunday! KODC Committee
23.01.2022 What a great night. A wonderful, information packed, and entertaining seminar. Thank you Tony Knight for coming to chat to us at KODC.
18.01.2022 Congratulations to Norm with 'Pearl' for winning the KODC Highest Achiever Award for 2019.
17.01.2022 As most of you are already aware KODC has made the decision along with advice from Dogs Victoria, our governing body, to postpone classes and all dog related group activities until further notice. No Dogs Victoria related activity will be running from 16 March 30 April 2020. This means that all obedience classes (Puppy, Beginner, Advanced Puppy/Beginner, Classes 1, 2, 3 and 4 and advanced obedience classes/training, plus all agility classes) will not be running for the for...eseeable future. This also includes postponement of all Dogs Victoria competitions and other events. Due to this, the KODC club house, dog shop, library, kiosk, administration office, and amenities will also remain closed during this period. The KODC team are aware that this is disappointing news, but in this fast-changing environment we need to ensure the health and safety of our team and our members. We appreciate your patience during this time, and we will be sure to keep you updated with any new advice that we receive from Dogs Victoria. We encourage our members to keep up their training routines as best they can at home. Zak George, Susan Garrett, and Kyra Sundance all have some great online resources to help motivate you and keep you and your dog training while maintaining social distancing. Our social media team will also post some interesting and educational videos over the coming weeks for our members to watch and use to keep up training momentum. If any of our class 4 or more advanced members would like to put together a video to help others either in their class level or below, please send me (Kristy) a message via Facebook. We look forward to seeing you again in May and hope all our team members and club members remain safe and healthy during this viral pandemic. Regards, The KODC Social Media Team See more

12.01.2022 The 6-week lockdown of suburban Melbourne announced by the State Government today means Knox Obedience Dog Club will be closed immediately and not reopen before late August. That date may also be extended. Further news will be posted when we have additional information to report. Please take care in the meantime.
12.01.2022 From The KODC Committee Membership Renewal At the October committee meeting (held on October 7th 2020), it was decided that the following will apply in regard to membership renewals: 2020 memberships (those members with a purple membership card) will have their membership extended by 12 months to 31 October 2021, at no additional cost.... Upon the club re-opening and you returning to the club, we will require all members with purple cards to come to the office to have their card replaced with a yellow card. Please note: we will need to keep your purple card. 2021 memberships (those members with a yellow membership card) require no action as these memberships are already valid until 31 October 2021. In the event that you have lost/can’t find your card, please come to the office once we re-open and we can issue you with a new card. Nominees for Life Membership We have one this year, and that is Debra Cartledge. AGM Notification Due to the restrictions in place relating to COVID-19, and their being no clarification currently as to when larger groups will be able to meet, we have made the decision to postpone the AGM until early in the new year. We have yet to set the date, but will advise when we do so. Nominations for Committee Again, due to the restrictions in place and given the appointment of committee members happens at the AGM, we will postpone this until the AGM is held. Normal submission dates will apply, being nominations must be received 21 days prior to the AGM (the date of which will be advised when it has been set) The current committee will remain in caretaker positions until that time.
