22.01.2022 With spacious open plan living, our Knutsford homes are perfectly configured for entertaining. Linda loves to cook, and finds that friends and family often gather around her kitchen bench. She also gravitates to the outdoors and makes use of her home's courtyard to sit outside on a lovely day.

16.01.2022 Ever struggled with creating that perfect 'plant moment' at home? We asked Stackwood's Sarah Bell for some tips on styling indoor plants. Here's what she had to say - "I believe that how we put our homes together is such a personal creative expression of ourselves. We all have different likes and dislikes and I think it's important to create a space that feels good to you. In my home I like to think about layers, textures and focal points. For smaller plants I cluster them t...ogether and arrange in heights by using shelves as a plant display. You could also use a plant stand or different sized pots with varying heights. Think about the different colours and patterns of the foliage and how they contrast each other. For medium to bigger plants I let them be the hero or heroine by letting them shine on their own, taking pride of place on a sideboard, stool or just on the floor. Big plants are a great way to break up an open plan space, drawing the eyes to the plant rather than what lies beyond." We hope this gives you some inspiration to have a potter at home

12.01.2022 We know there's a lot of green thumbs among us at Knutsford, so we invited plant guru Sarah from Stackwood to share some tips and tricks. When it comes to Sarah's 'must-have' plant varieties, she recommends ones that are easy to care for such as Devils Ivy, Peace Lily, Hoya, Philodendron and Monstera. "They give so much green joy for very little work, they really are the easy care winners," says Sarah. Finding the perfect greenery for your home is all about choosing the ...right plant for the right conditions. "We always recommend firstly to think about how much light you have and where you want to position your plants. Almost all indoor plants need and thrive in bright, indirect light, however there are some great lower light plant options that we recommend such as Zizi, Aspidstra and Peace Lily." This will be the first in a series of posts with tips from Sarah, so keep an eye out for more Remember, you can always pop into Stackwood for your plant needs or visit their online store: www.stackwood.net.au

01.01.2022 Now spring is well and truly upon us, we thought it would be an apt time to share more tips on looking after your plant babies with Sarah Bell from Stackwood. According to Sarah, all our plants are about to start putting on some growth as the weather warms up and they'll need extra food and water. Now is a great time to check your soil quality before it starts getting warmer. Repot plants if water is running straight through and not getting absorbed into the soil or holdi...ng the water. Start feeding your plants regularly with liquid fertilizer solution every 2 to 4 weeks. Remember not to over water, check soil by sticking your finger into the soil to the first knuckle, if it's wet leave watering and check again in a few days, if it's dry, give it a drink. Happy pottering! If you need a little help, Stackwood, together with Claire Greenhill, their in-house landscape designer, can help you to find the best layout and plant combinations for your home.
