20.01.2022 Spring is just around the corner, however its taking its time here in Victoria, nothing new though. This is a busy and important time in beekeeping, the time when beekeeper’s work starts in earnest. It is now, when setting up well the bees-works will decide the outcome for the rest of season. It is technically very interesting and challenging, requires specialist knowledge, good practical and observation skills, determination and lots and lots experience. The outcome it...’s usually delicious, sweet and so tasty that always’m looking forward to it. Florian Ps Posting new photos soon. See more

10.01.2022 Our market, the Eltham Community Craft and Produce Market is on, in a week time - the 19th of June, always the 3rd Sunday of the month. http://www.elthammarket.com.au

10.01.2022 REAL vs reality tv.

08.01.2022 Have you ever bought a jar of honey put it in the pantry and gone to use it and it’s crystallized? Well, only good quality honey will do this, like our honey! You'll never see crystallised honey in the supermarket because it has already been highly heated and sometimes even has water added! There technically isn’t anything wrong with crystallized honey. In fact some people prefer it that way, they like the texture and enjoy it on breads because it doesn't drip as readily. If ...you just happen to be one of the people who prefers it to be liquid and smooth we are going to share our little secret with you for how to liquefy crystallized honey! It's very simple : you just heat it up in a pan of water that should not reach boil point in order to keep the beneficial properties of the honey. Once you do this the honey will be warmed up and will slowly dissolve out all the crystals. For more honey chemistry, tune in.... See more

04.01.2022 Winners of the competition we are running will be announced this Sunday 19th of June and will get to receive their prize on the day if they come to the Eltham Craft Market! http://www.elthammarket.com.au/
