23.01.2022 December Update The Koala Island Foundation has been working to develop a plan to Develop a sustainable environment for our koalas and other wildlife... Maintain the natural environment for our residents Improve amenities for residents and visitors Educate and inform our community and visitors about the island’s cultural heritage and environment More than 50 Raymond Island residents have now engaged with the Koala Trail proposal and partial funding has been promised. Feedback has been gathered and details that should answer most questions have been included in a public document. KIFI believes it is important that as many people as possible should have the opportunity to read the feedback and to ask any questions. If you would like a copy, contact the Koala Island Foundation at [email protected] or use the message button and include your email. 03.01.2022 Saturday 25th July saw the return of the first four Mallacoota fire Koalas - Joe, Alex, Connie and Cuddles. They were so little and injured when they left and ...now such strong healthy girls and boys all released onto our property into totally unburned forested area. They are all ear tagged with three having green ear tags and one having a pink ear tag. If you do happen to see any of them, could you please let us know. Southern Ash Wildlife Centre did an amazing job caring for and bringing these babies back to full health. See more
