23.01.2022 Hello friends, meet Balyang - one of this year's new joeys! He is a curious young joey, like his mum Kozo and his grandma Kiki were. My human friends have been seeing him quite often for the past months hanging with his mum, but lately, he is starting to explore areas a bit further away from her. He'll soon become independent and search for his own home range. What a handsome fella, isn't he? Read about Balyang's family here: https://buff.ly/2JhaRGw

22.01.2022 "What's all that noise disturbing my beauty sleep? Ah, it's only my human friends doing some koala gardening" (aka: removing Boneseed weeds). Click on link below to learn why we remove Boneseed from koala habitat & how it affects them: https://buff.ly/3ks8ehq

20.01.2022 How cute are these two? It's been nearly a year since one of our amazing volunteers captured joeys Mimi and Yeera exploring the world around them during one of the Koala Conservation Days. https://buff.ly/3ahRG70 Mimi is an adventurous and curious young male, who started climbing independently when he was only 7 months old. He lived closed to his mum Kiki for a while but lately, he seems to be exploring other territories to find his own home range away from big & scary domina...nt males. We hope we see his adorable face soon! Click on the link above to read more about young Mimi.

15.01.2022 Koalas all over Australia have been affected by the 2019/20 bushfires. To ensure they have a future, many trees need to be planted! In 2020, we planted 9000 new trees - our biggest year yet. But 2021 is shaping up to be our best year ever we already have 40,000 trees to plant! We will need as many helpers as we can get. Join us & Echidna Walkabout on a special Koala Tree Planting and recovery experience, near Melbourne, or in Gippsland. Click on link below to learn more. #koalarecovery https://buff.ly/2O1W29O

08.01.2022 Wow, what a massive win to Australia after such a tough year! Lonely Planet has announced Australia as the winner of the Best Community Restoration Award for many community efforts after the 2019/20 bushfires, including ours! The coolest part of all: they chose our president, Janine Duffy, to speak about Koala Clancy Foundation & Echidna Walkabout part in it while the team was planting trees in the background! Try not to tear up with Janine while watching the video. Visit... our website to learn how you can help & to donate to koalas: https://buff.ly/2Zfd3U8 Watch the Lonely Planet video here: https://buff.ly/2KlPiF0

05.01.2022 January is the time to sow seeds for koalas! But, what is seed sowing? Sowing is the process of putting seeds onto the soil (in a pot, not directly in the ground) in order to initiate their sprouting into baby plants. https://buff.ly/35ZTLWf My human friends will sow seeds in early January and you can join them! The koala tree seeds will germinate any time from one week after sowing to one month. ... Germination can depend on temperature, moisture and species. After 5 to 7 months they will be big enough to be planted during winter in the Tree Planting season. We need as many trees as possible, and you can help our friends in this first step.
