24.01.2022 We’ve just been sent this video showing un-permitted clearing of prime koala habitat near Toogoolawah. Displaced Koalas were heard screaming through the night ...by local residents. This is private land, but is subject to laws governing the removal of native trees and the removal of wildlife. The information given to us was not encouraging as far as action being taken by their local council. We will keep you updated. Please let us know if you live in the Somerset region and can offer support to Koala conservationists working on the ground. See more

22.01.2022 Happy Easter xo

22.01.2022 This is distressing. An FU to the protesters of the week before. Please keep an eye out for koalas. Keep water out in this hot weather. Keep your dogs leashed in the yard if you are in koala habitat. Koalas are on the move. It’s mating season. Back young are dispersing. https://www.echo.net.au//09/dead-koala-strung-protest-site/

21.01.2022 Happy Mother’s Day everyone xo

21.01.2022 It is generally too late once a DA has approval. This underscores the imperative to map koalas that are in your area. KoalaTracker.com.au mapping has stopped powerlines and other developments. So map every sighting - alive, dead, injured so we know the location, points of impact and cause of death and injury for the public record.

21.01.2022 Oh my gosh people. Koalas do NOT laze in paddocks. With an animal that size coming at it and it didn’t move, suggests it is injured and cannot move. If anyone knows the property and/or the people please let them know. Cows will trample a koala to death. I don’t know if horses do, but that koala needs urgent vet check. Please share.

18.01.2022 Lexi the koala finished her rehabilitation at Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital and was released onto our property today! Found cold and alone in the middle of th...e road in Toogoolawah, rescuers transported her to RSPCA QLD Wildlife Hospital for treatment. After being cared for by a specialised wildlife carer, Lexi was then sent to Koala Kindy at the Australia Zoo Wildlife Hospital, where she built up her strength, socialised and learned all the necessary skills for life in the wild. Big thanks to IKPS - Ipswich Koala Protection Society, A.R.R.O.W Wildlife rehabilitation, RSPCA QLD and Australia Zoo Wildlife Warriors for all the work they do for these precious animals, and a special thanks to Marilyn and Max for bringing Lexi here.

04.01.2022 URGENT PLEASE SHARE: With fire season suddenly upon us it is critical that we all keep an eye out for wildlife moving to safer ground, injured wildlife, and deceased animals. REPORT EVERY SIGHTING alive, dead, sick or injured to www.koalatracker.com.au. We have wildlife rescue numbers on the website for your area. Especially the Gold Coast Hinterland, Stanthorp area and the Sunshine Coast - Peregian Beach north through to Noosa. These areas area still in fire emergency situation. Rescuers will not be able to go in until police allow - which means your eyes in these areas are so important. Even if you can't do anything for the animal. Map the sighting on KoalaTracker.com.au so rescuers know where to look when they can get in.

01.01.2022 Not koala related But please keep a look out and share https://www.facebook.com/groups/203311558134707/permalink/204136348052228/

01.01.2022 A good idea for getting water into trees for the wildlife. Make sure you follow the instructions and put the small ramp in so smaller animals don’t drown

01.01.2022 Please leave water dishes out in Safe spots away from dogs and cats. Our wildlife needs a little extra help during this heat
