24.01.2022 Good win from The Kings yesterday. A hard fought battle against Merrylands to win it 32-31! #FootyIsBack

23.01.2022 T-6 days until the first game of the season. Excited to make a return to grade footy this year, with Merrylands first on the draw!

22.01.2022 This was a big week for The KOBS. Both grade and colts came away with a magnificent win on home soil. It was tricky terrains and the opposition came to play. Wet weather footy meant both teams had to play smart football... and boy did they play smart football! A couple special mentions from the weekend. First one goes to Harrison Bamford from Colts who received man of the match. It was hard to miss him on the field. He was involved in every breakdown and set pace for the fo...rward pack in their defence. He even scored two tries. Second special mention goes to the Club President, Brendan Davis, who scored a hat trick on his 100th game. As coach Templeman said, ‘Brendan has set the tone for how 100th games should be played’. Thanks for everything you’ve done for the club Brendan! Finally, we’d like to thank all the friends and family who came out to support us for our first home game of the season - it doesn’t go unnoticed and is what I believe makes this club so special! And thanks to the coaching staff/volunteers who prepped the BBQ and ensured everyone was being COVID safe! Scores: 17-12 - Colts 45-5 - Grade

22.01.2022 Calling all batters, bowlers and 'utility fielders'. The annual KOB's cricket day is around the corner! Time to dust off your English Willow, stretch your back and practice your sledges because this is 20-20 cricket at a standard like no other (quite possibly the lowest out there ) When: December 20*, 1030am going into the arvo... Where: Waverton Oval Who: YOU** *We couldn't think of a better way to spend your sunday then watching the grass grow and sinking with your mates and future mates before the craziness of having to spend Christmas with those weird cousins you haven't seen since Easter (or last Christmas if you're lucky). ** All KOBs and potential recruits are welcome to join, but we need to keep across numbers to ensure we are covidsafe AND put teams together. Please click attending on the Facebook event page or DM the KOBs account.

22.01.2022 Tomorrow will be Brendan ‘Yogi’ Davis’ 100th match with Kings Old Boys Rugby Club. Much is in store to celebrate this milestone achievement, so make sure you get down to Kings tomorrow to join in the festivities! To start the ball rolling, our club historian has put together a short bio of his time at KOBs In 2011 Brendan started his KOBs career leading the Colts team through the Radford cup. He developed a reputation for his tough plays in the lineout being thrown much hi...gher in the air than any other subbies lineout jumper, catching the ball and disrupting the opposition throws. Later, moving into the first grade team he took on a position of being on the club committee. The club president of the time saw how Brendan managed to delegate all responsibility as committee member and graciously stepped aside as President knowing that such a valuable skill is best served at the top of the corn shoot. Ever flexible, when KOBs were short on backs, he moved into the backline, switching lineouts for hard lines and meat pies. Enjoying the glory of the ‘backs’ lyf, Brendan has never turned back and began wearing more fashionable clothes, having a swish haircut, wearing deodorant and invested in skin rejuvenation crème. It was during this transition period that Yogi found the corn to his KOB, Claude, who has been pivotal to the clubs success providing half time orange sustenance. Brendan has been club president for the past five years and has seen it through dark days, working tirelessly to keep the club afloat and the success and continuity of the club is a tribute to this. Brendan, all the best tomorrow with the centenary match and the club looks forward to the jugs of old fashioned at the Glebe Hotel tomorrow night!
