24.01.2022 Dear Families, With the Coronavirus continuing to develop, our team continues to monitor the situation and will take lead by the supporting primary schools and facilities we operate from. It is possible that the advice and plan here could change so please keep close to our facebook page for any updates: https://m.facebook.com/kobudokaimartialarts/ To help limit the spread of this virus the advice is that:... -Anyone who has left or transited through overseas countries in the last 14 days for precaution we ask you to refrain from coming to class for 14 days from the date of leaving or passing through that country. -Anyone who has been in close contact with a proven case of coronavirus must isolate for 14 days from the date of last contact with the confirmed case. -Anyone feeling unwell with flu like symptoms I also ask you refrain from coming to class until you are better. Its important we look after each other during these times to ensure we can get through this together smoothly and in the least amount of time possible. What does isolation mean? Staying at home and avoiding public settings, including attending schools, childcare and early learning centres, using public transport - until 14 days after last being in or transiting any of these countries or coming into contact with a proven case of coronavirus. What else should we do? Please continue to encourage your children to follow good hygiene practice. This includes washing hands regularly, including when you arrive and before you leave the service. 22.01.2022 Dear Kobudo students, family members and guardians. We are hoping everyone has had a great Easter and has remained home and safe over this period. In line with Vic Government current regulations and as we continue to consult with our governing body, over the last few weeks we have been testing our online Kobudo Kai Karate classes. We are excited to announce that as of Thursday 16th April we will open up a trial for the next few weeks with a Junior and Senior class.... Class times are as follows : Tue & Thur 5:00pm to 5:30pm Junior Class (ages 4-11) Tue & Thur 6:00pm 6:30pm Senior Class (ages 12 and above) At this stage as we are trialling these free classes, all schools are welcome and recommended to attend these sessions each week. These sessions are registered classes and will go towards your grading attendance. We will be using Zoom as the application of choice and you will need a PC with a camera or Phone / iPad or Tablet to view the class. (https://zoom.us/join) What you need to do before our first class Thursday 16th April SMS your local club Administrator and they will send you a re-occurring zoom meeting registration number and ID that you will use to access the class. 22.01.2022 Dear Kobudo Students and Families, We continue to monitor the situation very closely, advice from our governing body suggests we continue run our sessions as its remains very important we continue to focus on an remaining active with a healthy mind and body approach. With that we have made some slight adjustments to our lesson plans and you will now see we will have reduced sparring, self-defence type activity and focus our training on fitness, kata, weaponry and shadow sparr...ing to reduce the contact between our students and wider teams for a period of time. In addition we will take the opportunity to have a break during the school holidays & we’ll look to keep our communications up through or facebook page plus we will have some holiday training tips , lesson plans and a few competitions running over the holidays so stay tuned Some important dates to note : Nth Sunshine Dojo Open until the school holidays we are open this Tue 24th & Thur 26th then we will be back after school holidays on Tue 14th April Keilor Dojo Open Monday 23rd March then back on the 15th April. Everyone has made the time and effort to attend class online and we are forever humbled to have such amazing and dedicated students. ... Needless to say, these online classes have exceeded our expectations. In saying that, I’m sure we are all just as excited and motivated to head back to the dojos next week & train harder than ever. 09.01.2022 Kobudo Kai Family! Once again we are so grateful for all students who have been showing ongoing dedication to our online zoom sessions. We can already see the maintenance and growth of all your abilities and skill. To reward your tremendous efforts our team has decided to start up 2-week challenges where both a junior and senior student receive a prize posted to them via mail. For the first challenge, us instructors will be awarding the student who puts in the most effort in... class and doesn't give up. This does not necessarily mean skill or level. What we are looking for is a student with a strong mental who is able to persevere through the entire session and is consistent with their attendance. Although we understand that these times have been quite challenging, it fills us with the utmost joy and appreciation to see you all continuing your love and training for karate. 02.01.2022 Team Kobudo. With the easing of restrictions we have some amazing news !! After many months of online training and zoom classes Kobudo Kai is now back in the dojo!!! ... We cannot thank you all enough for your ongoing support and effort As a team we managed to continue our love of Kobudo Kai Martial Arts throughout this challenging year and are ready to be back stronger than ever! From Monday 16th Nov the following clubs will re open and we are super excited to see you all again.
