25.01.2022 Having presented our students' exhibition on Sunday, it's time for my own group show. It will start tomorrow and ends on 19 December. There are three other artists' great works in this exhibition. Wonderful time to share artworks and a drink.... catch up and finish up a great year! I hope to see you there this Saturday!

A couple of weeks ago I was notified that KOCAS Visual art education been rated top 25 most popular kids activity in Australia and top 7 in Ivanhoe and its surrounding area in 2015! A fantastic recognition! Thank you to all our students participation and to their parents for their strong support! We will definitely keep up the good works!

23.01.2022 We've been very spoilt this afternoon with these yummy cupcakes brought in by one of our students' mum, Vivian Nguyen. They don't just look impressivve but are really yummy!!! Let me know if you want to order some!

22.01.2022 It is enough to do all the normal household chores, to care, nurture and guide our children as a mother...let alone some with extra on top of the to do list... probably work part time or full time, to help out the finances for the family and look after their own parents at the same time. what about those who might also have a child who has special needs!? Mothers never give up or give in no matter what the situation. My highest respect to all mothers! Special love to my ...mum who tirelessly offer her love and care to us particularly to care for one of her five children who needs a lot of physical help! She's been doing this all on her own for 60 years and still going.... LOVE YOU.....mum! To all mums, enjoy a wonderful day. you deserve it!

20.01.2022 It was only a couple of months ago that we farewell Tom Crawford, one of our long standing student of 12 years. Now I must do another post about him because this brilliantly talented young man has a great news to share. He has won an acquisition Award at his school. A highest Award any artist would want to win! My congrtulations to Tom! Drawing on such a large canvas takes a long time let alone it's not a great surface to draw on! It's talents plus hard work with a good... concept and the production of a good folio. Well done Tom! Congratulations and thanks for making me a proud teacher! Tom's high achievement marks an incredible achievement history for KOCAS visual art education. He is our 4th student who has won an acquisition in the last 3 years! 19.01.2022 Highlight of the exhibition was Georgia Wilson of Kew High school being the recipient of "KOCAS Award of Excellence" which honours a VCE yr. 12 student who demonstrated best initiation and consistent study approach and achieved final outcomes with conceptual and technical excellence. Georgia Has also receive the Art Award from Kew High School and her 2 series of final outcomes have been acquired by Kew High School and a member of the school community. 19.01.2022 If you haven't seen the "Triennial" exhibition at NGV then you must visit. It's a fantastic exhibition on not just art but also design and technology and how they interact with each other. It's an exhibiton of works across broad disciplines which aspires to reflect Melbourne's unique perspective of the world. It's great show and inspiration! Visit the exhibition before our school year starts. We will sure have lots of interesting discussion about this exhibition, partticularly with our high school students. 2018 is going to be another exciting, interesting and creative year for us! I am looking forward to it!

09.01.2022 Finally, gathered photos of our 19th annual exhibition to share with you all. Our KOCAS prize are shared by 3 students this year -- Elanna Vaiano, Elleni Tsaketas and Isabella Toppi. They showed great motivation with their art studies, explore and experiment with an open mind in the creative process and achieved final outcome with excellent standard. They ought to be congratulated! Also congratulations and best wishes go to all our year 12 students for completing their high school year. I have no doubt that you will reach where you want to be. 08.01.2022 I wish time can slow down a little. Just can't believe we have finished week 2 in term 3 already! It feels different in our VCE class this term. We are missing this wonderful girl heaps! Catia Cardamone has left us after spending 5 years attending our classes..... but it is all for a very good cause! She has been accepted by the VCA - The Victorian College of Arts secondary school section. Gaining a placement there is absolutely competitive. Big congratulations to her! Catia always aims high and achieves! I miss her but at the same time I know she is enjoying where she is. Catia, we all wish you well!

07.01.2022 Many people may not know his name but they have been watching Tom Crawford's work for the last 12 years and admire them at each of our annual exhibition. Tom, one of my long standing students finally completed our art programme this Tuesday evening and his last piece of large scale drawing left our studio this afternoon. It is just wonderful to see how a talented student grow from grade one to year 12 and watch how he creates excellent pieces of work over the years. I wish... Tom well and I know he will achieve highly no matter what he endeavors.
