25.01.2022 Stopped at the Daly Waters Pub stayed at the caravan park. Caught up with local crocodile "Kevin", had a look in the little museum full of some amazing old motor bikes, cars and trucks. Dinner at the pub and stayed for the nightly music. Definatley worth the visit. Next morning headed for a roadside camp for the night at Wonarah Bore. Set off the next morning for the Qld boarder, pretty baren on the NT side of the boarder. Stopped at Camooweal for lunch and fuel just over the boarder, then headed off to Mt Isa.



24.01.2022 In Darwin for a week. Wandered along the harbour foreshore today stopped and had a quick lunch. Tonight we took a sunset cruise, it included a glass of sparkling, fish and chips and a beautiful sunset. Keep you posted

24.01.2022 Arrived at the caravan park in Emerald for over night stay. Shopping and washing. We were going to head to the coast on the way to Kenilworth, but decided to head inland to Chinchilla on the way! Stopped at Indune at Possum park on the way to Chinchilla, great little park $20 pwr and water, community fire pit. Stopped in at Chinchilla and Ooops, we bought another 5th wheeler. So spent a couple of days there transferring our life from one to the other and then onto Wondai. Lovely little town very pretty and a great spot to stay at the Showgrounds,$20 pwr and water. Lovely and peaceful. Next morning off to Kenilworth, stopped at the little town of Imbil for lunch on the way, great bakery and very scenic . I have to say one thing, bloody QLD roads .

23.01.2022 Finally left Darwin heading south, stopped a Pine Creek for a look around on the way to Bitter Springs Caravan Park where we settled in for a few days. Bitter Spring is walking distance from the park. Spent time relaxing in the spring, the waters were crystal clear and warm. Next day drove just down the road to Mataranka where we lazed around the spring there. From here we headed off to Daly Waters...keep you posted.



22.01.2022 Well we are parked up at Carnarvon for 3 to 4 days at the capricorn caravan park, has caravan undercover wash bay, carwash bay, and doggy wash facilities as well, looks like Bellas getting a wash not a bad spot.

21.01.2022 Finally hitting the road Tuesday 30th.

19.01.2022 Well we drove through this amazingly hilly town and settled in Old Macs Farm at Launceston for 5 days. Spent the day at Cataract Gorge, went for drives up the west tamar valley to Beaconsfield Mine, Greens Beach, Gravelly Beach and Beauty Point to Platypus House. Next we headed off driving on "the sidling" a scary narrow windy road to Scottsdale staying at the free RV camp as a base to explore the area. So off we went to Bridport, Georgetown, Lilydale, Tomahawk, Little Blue Lake and the amazing hilly Derby(a major mountain bike destination). Next heading off to St Helen's.



18.01.2022 We settled into the little seaside town of St Helen's as a base. Headed off north to the Bay of fires and the little beaches in between, down to Scamander and spent a few days relaxing, wandering around and got the F truck tyres rotated. Next off to the camp at The Pondering Frog south of Bicheno. Wandered around the countryside, Cambell Town, Lake Leake, Avoca, Fingal, St Marys and down the hairaising Elephant Pass (not too steep, but very very narrow) to Bicheno. Wandered down to the Freycinet Nat Park, Coles Bay, The Hazzards and took Bella for a spin on Muirs Beach. Spent a beautiful day out on the water in Wine Glass Bay.

17.01.2022 All settled into Yardie Station for a few days. Great place with an onsite restaurant, pool, tennis courts, kids play ground and some beautiful beaches not far down the road. Took Bella to the beach for a run, she managed to get wet and sandy. Beautiful turquoise water , some magnificent coast line up here.

17.01.2022 Spent the week in Mandurah. Been spoilt by our friend Warren. Today he took Steve, Bella and myself out on the estuary and down to Yunderup and Ravenswood.Stopped at Coopers Mill a bit of history on one of the islands.

17.01.2022 Pulled into Mt Isa for as couple of days to stock up and do some washing. We found Lake Moodara amazingly beautiful lake the locals use for swimming, kyaking and fishing. It is also the towns water supply. Left Mt Isa and headed off to Julia Creek. Another little gem in the middle of outback queensland. Staying in the caravan park, tonight we sat in baths filled warm water from the artesian bore watching the sun going down, drinking champagne and nibbling on a cheese platter.....Its a tough life but someone has to do it.



16.01.2022 Stayed 5 days at Bindoon oval caravan park getting Dental work.

16.01.2022 Arrived in Tribunna from up near Bicheno drove out to Orford, walked around the river,visited a local winery bought some lovely wine and drove up to the top of Three Thumbs lookout for a magnificent view. Next off to Dunalley Pub free camp, we used this as a base to visit Sorrell, Port Arthur, Convict Coal mine at Salt Water Creek, Eagles Hawk Neck, Tesselated Tiles, Tasman Arch and Hells Kitchen. Moved onto Franklin, we spent 6 nights using this lovley camp right beside the river aa our base. Went to Frank's Cider House the family had been growing apples and pears in the area since the 1800"s. Travelled down to the Hastings Caves and Thermal pool, Geevston, Cockle Creek and back along the coast stopping at Huon Salmon Farm and up for a wander around Huonville. Next stop Bruny Island.

14.01.2022 Well we drove over Mt Roland and down into Sheffield. Stayed at the Sheffield RV Park for a few days, $5 a night ,lovley flat grassed area and has a great off leash dog area for Bella.Drove out to Deloraine for a look, stopped into the Christmas Hills Raspberry Farm & Van Diemens Land Creamery for Ice cream YUM! Next off to Riana where stayed for 6 days and had a job Pea Picking for 3 1/2 days.Off to Davenport for a couple of days Steve needed Oil filters and Oil to give the F truck a oil change. We had a nice bike ride into town. Moved onto Hagley staying at Hagley RV Farm Stay. Had a look around Westbury, Carrick and went for a long scenic drive to find Liffey Falls, eventually gave up. Here in Hagley until Friday morning when we head off to Launceston.

14.01.2022 We left Waratha and headed to Tullah, couldn't get a spot to park so headed south to the mining town of Roseberry. One of the tightest, windiest, steepest roads we have experienced so far. Stayed the night and drove down to Zeehan had a look around and took a trip out to Trial Harbour. Next day drove down to the lovley little town of Strahan and stayed 4 nights at the golf club. Stopped in at the bakery for a scallop pie, had a good drive around the town. Did the Gordon River... Cruise on the red boat, stopped off at Sarah Island Penal Colony, went through Hells Gates and stopped in at the World Heritage Franklin-Gordon Wild Rivers National Park. Where we saw the magnificent Huon Pine and a local Tiger snake snoozing on a log . Did a day trip to Queenstown, the weather was crap so no point on going up to the lookout the whole town was covered in cloud. Storms were heading in so left Strahan and headed north stopped at Lake Gardiner free camp on the way through to Sheffield. See more

13.01.2022 Well still in Darwin.We have spent a bit of time hanging out with some salt water crocodiles. Went to Crocosaurus Cove and did the the cage of death, shared a pond with Leo. We also saw Burt the Croc from the Crocodile Dundee movie, is now 80 years old and huge.Then went to the wharf and had Crocodile Schnitzel for lunch. Had a wander around Darwin town and went down the WW11 Oil Tunnels under ground and have had a few lunches in town. Today we went on a tour out to get up close and personal with some crocs in the wild. We saw about 12 of various sizes and ages. Puts it into perspective when they are in their own habitat. Stopped into Humpy Do Tavern for a great Baramundi Burger for lunch.

11.01.2022 Well , left Carnarvon this morning and headed up the coast to Exmouth. Stopped into Coral Bay on the way through for lunch at the bakery.Steve had beef,bacon and cheese pie . I went for the broccoli, cauliflower pie.YUM. Coral Bay was packed. Settled into Yardi Station for a few days. Pictures tomorrow

11.01.2022 After a walk this morning to Kings lake a lovely picnic spot with Bella, we took it easy.This afternoon drove up to the top of Mount Nameless for sunset. Pretty rough 4wd track extremely vertical at times.The track is the highest vehicle access in WA at 1018 meters.

09.01.2022 We stayed at Cape Keraduen for 4 nights, got eaten alive by sand flies night 3 and 4.. Bella had a mad run on Sandy beach whilst we opted for the more sedate walk.Stopped into Pardoo roadhouse on the way out for lunch. Arrived at Roebuck roadhouse caravan park on Wednesday and settled in. We had a great dinner at the roadhouse,I had Grilled Baramundi and Steve the Garlic Prawns. Meals were huge so we took our leftovers back to the van for the next day. Been for wander around town ,went for a visit to Cable beach, did some food shopping. And today we visited the Bird Park, Steve found himself a kindred spirit .

09.01.2022 Settled into Kenilworth.1st week was the FWAA get together, 60 5th wheelers quite a sight to see. In the 2nd week drove back to Chinchilla to collect our other 5th wheeler and towed it up to Gympie for sale by consignment.The rest of the week we relaxed and enjoyed the town with it's rolling hills, green meadows, great cafes, a busy bakery and a dairy all walking distance from the camping at the showground. Time to start heading south, stopping at Toongoolwah showgrounds for 2 nights. Whilst there we popped into Esk and visited Lake Wivenhoe and the dam. Next stop Toowoomba for shopping and a little look around for a couple of days.Then our final stop at Goondawindi showgrounds before crossing the boarder into NSW and heading to Moree.

08.01.2022 Well finally hitting the road for good. Goodbye Moora Caravan Park. Looking forward to fun and adventure. A couple of weeks in Perth to sort out some things and catch up with kids, grandkids and a few friends. Just waiting for the internal boarders to open and then you wont see us for dust!

08.01.2022 4 great days staying at Yardi Homestead, went swimming at the beach one day, went snorkeling another day, saw a turtle along with sea slugs and fish. Headed into Exmouth, had lunch at the bakery great pies and the seagulls are a little different up here. Today we headed off on our way to Tom Price, on the way out of Exmouth is like a luna landscape with giant ant hills everywhere. Tonight we are staying at Nanutarra Road House.

08.01.2022 Left Nanutarra this morning, lovley drive via Paraburdoo now settled into Tom Price Caravan Park. The park sits in the shadow of Mount Nameless. Tom Price is the highest town in WA at 747 meters above sea level.

08.01.2022 Stopped at Ellendale Pool for the night Tuesday night then headed off the next morning to stop at Galena Bridge on the way through to Wooramel Station.

08.01.2022 Left Broome and headed off to the Bungle Bungles, stopped at Mary Pool for the night on the way through. Booked into the Bungle bungle caravan park and headed in the the National Park early the next day. The road into park was 58km of very rough dirt road took 1 1/2 hours anywhere between 20km and 60km per. The Bungle Bungles were beautiful and we were exhausted from the walking by the end of the day, then another 58km driving the same road out of the park. A day of rest and then off to Kununurra.

06.01.2022 Great catching up and been looked after by Warren in Mandurah. Looking forward to catching up again sometime on the road, maybe in Broome or QLD.

05.01.2022 Staying in Kathrine, caravan park is great and the Kathrine Springs are a short 5min walk out the back gate. Its a tough life but someone has to do it!!! Off to Darwin tomorrow.....

04.01.2022 We settled in Lake Argyle caravan park, it is beautiful and so is the lake. We went for a sunset cruise out on the lake, cheese, biscuits, champagne and a swim in the lake. What more can you ask for. Swimming in the infinity pool daily Off to NT tomorrow....

03.01.2022 We stayed in Kununnura for 4 days, drove over the ord river dam spill way, did a day trip to Wydnham and drove across Ivanhoe crossing. Took a drive up to the top of Kellys knob for a view, stopped in at Lily creek lagoon smack in the middle of Kununurra and went out to the ord irrigation area. Amazing what is being grown up here, sandalwood, pawpaws, mangoes, sunflowers and cotton. Headed off to relax at Lake Argyle today. Stay tuned

03.01.2022 Left Julia creek and headed off to Winton then onto Longreach. Stayed at free camps both places. On the way out of Winton stopped into the Age of Dinosaurs for a quick look around. Visited Qantas Founders Museum in Longreach. They still have the original Qantas plane hanger.Great place, really interesting finding out how Qantas was born in the 1920's. Next we moved onto Jericho and staying at a lovely camp by the water with a lovley cool breeze. Off to Emerald tomorrow...

01.01.2022 Still in Broome. Caught up with some friends here went to Town Beach, Gantheaume Point cliffs and lighthouse and out to lunch at the Rowe pub. We have wandered around China Town had a look at the old Sun Pictures outdoor movie theatre and stopped at the Dragonfly cafe for lunch.Went on a tour of Willie Creek Pearls and did a pearl master class. Down a dirt road to Willie Creek it was worth the drive, the place and tour were wonderful.
