25.01.2022 Tummy hugs for lunch

25.01.2022 We'll peeps interesting day today. With all distancing requirements we we're able seat 6 people in each dining room but in theory it should have worked in reality people being social creatures didn't quite get it, so it was hugely stressful trying to stop people who we're coming in for takeaway from socializing with people seated, this if not nipped in the bud instantly it would have meant we we're in breach of distancing laws. So have been forced to go back to the window f...or now because of the layout of our shop we cannot instantly monitor people entering we have no choice. The garden is open for take away only dining as is the verandah . We just have to be patient and wait for the distancing restrictions to decrease. A lot of hotels and restaurants after opening Monday have gone back to takeaways only as well for all these reasons. We appreciate your patience and understanding . See more

24.01.2022 Oh my gosh Kandi fans we did not see the new restrictions being lifted so early. All good for you all, which we celebrate. But for us we have been in overdrive since this morning trying to work out how soon we can open and what restrictions we must abide to. So at the end of the day making phone calls emails and assessing the fact that we should have got a supplier delivery for our weekend today. So although we could open Sunday we would not be able to get through to our nex...t delivery on Tuesday. So we have made the decision to not open until Monday. Because they are still saying we have a four square metre allowance (dont get it frankly) we will be going to window only. As last time we found the way our shop is not set up for that square metreage we again literally can't do that. So until they lift that ban, back to the Mr Ed door it is. It will be lovely to see you all on Monday we have missed you all. Please be patient with us we are here for you doing the best we can under the circumstances See more

18.01.2022 We'll lovely people as you may or may not have heard the awesome Georgina & Luke at the North Laura Hotel are back up and running from tonight for takeaways with food & bevies. Whilst we have been opening Friday and Saturday nights for you all (and been wonderfully supported thank you), we always said to Luke and George that when they fired back up we would step away from the nights to give them a chance in these challenging times. Sharing the love here peeps! In saying that ...we totally understand that there are those that have and won't go to a hotel (anywhere!), so for those few we will do pre-ordered before 3.30pm. (a must) meals with a 5.30 pick up Friday nights. If you are home bound for whatever reason we will deliver when we close. So from ourselves and the North Laura we say thank you to our amazing community for your support we would not be here without you lot... you rock ! See more

17.01.2022 OK Kandi Fans whilst having a verrrrry long shower tonight had a meeting with myself and had a thought (yes Marion and it did not hurt lol). Let's help each other out during lock down. I know for sure since having our cafe but also being in the food industry for over 38yrs that not everyone can look in their fridge freezer or pantry and get inspiration so if over the course of the next six days if anyone wants some inspiration on a meal post up your ingredients and we can all give suggestions. If you want to do privately you can inbox me and I will help you out. Six days to some people is easy but some may need a leg up... Don't be shy let's have some fun.

15.01.2022 Oh my gosh people so much going on ATM. Have been bad and not posting yummy things we have had a lot going on in our external life and so many changes in our K&K life. So basically this post is about our decision not to open for the ten in ten out that is the new rule for now. For us to do this it would seriously create more problems than the solution - to many to put in a post but happy to explain when you visit. We cannot thank you all for amazing support in these stressf...ul times. Which is why we ask you again for your patience next weekend we are closing Saturday Sunday Monday and Tuesday as we have been juggling between Tony & myself dealing with very private personal family issues. Also two weeks ago we had a new grandie that we have not welcomed also we really need this time with ours as you are all so lucky to have yours close by. We will be back (bloody tired probably) to be here for you on our return. We could not be here without you lovely people and thank you all for your continued support :) See more

14.01.2022 Well people that was probably (other than our first day)the hardest one we have done. You came in droves to thank us and see us off, which in turn made us soooooo busy we could not spend the time with you we would have liked. WOW what a journey..made possible by you all. We are still locals and still around so when somebody fabulous can see an opportunity in lovely Laura and open a coffee shop, we can all meet and catch up on more relaxed terms. THANK YOU

12.01.2022 We'll folks we are wrapping up Koffi Kandi for the next six days and following the advice we are given. We will miss you all, but want our state to get back to normal . If it continues we maybe able to go back to window but will keep you updated as always. Be patient people if we do this we maybe able to have Xmas with the one's we love. 11.01.2022 The school holidays have been quite a boost for the mid north this year and the whole region thanks you for exploring your backyard....but there has been a few down sides as well. Koffi Kandi does not usually post any negativity but have just found it hard to deal with patrons that are aggressive towards our Covid19 restrictions. We have been verbally abused and have had countless walk outs from people taking offence to our limited seating and shop gathering restrictions. We ...are good friendly people doing our best to keep our state safe and ourselves and I have to say to the South Aussies that have given us grief in the last two weeks please take a good hard look at where you live and be grateful that you live in this awesome state that has kept you Covid19 free. Our staff and ourselves have delivered our usual standards of business during these hard times we take angst and rudeness personally. Please be mindful of people in the front line who are doing their utmost for YOU See more

09.01.2022 Sad but happy day saying farewell to the most friendly and nicest cafe owners you will find We are so thankful to Suzy & Tony for the kindness they have shown our family over the years! As well as the amazing food and drinks! We will definitely miss going to Koffi & Kandi! The extended King Family wish you all the best for your future and hope to still see you around!

08.01.2022 We'll people update for opening tomorrow. We have configured the shop so we can have limited seating. So that means we don't have to do the window. But the space is limited we have square metreage restrictions to comply to, so it is recommend to either book to dine in and pre order takaway if possible. These are difficult times for us trying to make it possible for you to support us. And also tomorrow Tony & I are running solo so we ask for patience and understanding of our position. 07.01.2022 Omgosh how do I write this post..So emotional..grateful..So absolutely lost for words (so anyone that knows me is going "REALLY!!")..But yes I am. Tomorrow is the last day we trade as Koffi 'n' Kandi. All I can say is we could not have done it with out this lovely town their support and friendship. We were blown away to be so welcomed to this lovely community and have never regretted one minute of it. We have had our challenges and all those behind the the scenes things to deal with but this lovely town has always rallied around us and been supportive. I have put some pics up but not as many as I would have liked but loosing my phone a few years ago has lost me some irreplaceable memories. Thank you Laura (and surrounding communities) for being our life the past 8yrs.
