Teaching Pilates to amazing human beings have made me realised how poorly we think about our body. We are constantly criticising it. We are not looking deep enough beyond our esthetical appearance. We take everything for granted ! ... Today I want to invite you to be kind and gentle with your body. To listen closely to what it has to say. To dedicate more time to take care of it and not looking at its imperfections. NOBODY is perfect so stop comparing your body or creating a false idea of it. 25.01.2022 I have a confession to make: I don't love exercises lying on my tummy. I avoid them in each class and sometimes I feel I don't teach them enough because they are not my favorites! I want to change that feeling. ... I need to learn to LOVE them because they are soooo good for your back! They strengthen your back muscles, improve your posture, avoid the humpback shape and make you feel strong! So this 2021 this is my goal... More extension exercises for me and my beautiful clients! This time it is helping me to control my head - neck and shoulder organisation while I work on my thoracic spine rotation if you want to practice some rotation at home, grab a ball or small basket and place it close to your ribs. NOT too low NOT too high, then start rotating to your side without moving your hips. Careful it is JUST rotation and not leaning !!... 12.01.2022 Guess which muscles I am working the most here? The muscles of My Feet . They are working % not to let the bar go. PARAKEET is an advance exercise and I have been working so hard to be able to do it by myself with no one spotting the bar !!! This weekend I got encouraged by a beautiful group of students from @polestarpilatesau while I was mentoring and @soozie_cottrell_pilates helped me and gave me some beautiful cues that helped me to connect more. ... Voila !!! Here it is no one spotting the bar and only me at the studio. The lesson for today is never say never and always be willing to learn from others. 11.01.2022 HAPPY FRIDAY Did you know that stretching our body is as efficient as a good 50 min intense work out for our wellbeing ? Muscles need some good workout with weight and cardio movement but also they need to stretch. They need to find their length and space in your body. ... I always start my classes with stretches to make the muscles length and find some HOT spots in your body. Then we do a good Pilates work out to end the hour with some Happy FEET moves. Clients walk away with a big smile and I fee content with the job they have done in their body. Don’t underestimate your stretches and give your body some DM if you want to know exactly how stretch or how long to do it for. With love, Maria

This exercise is great for blood circulations and will definitely help if you have been seated or have been standing up for too long. Stop feeling heavy and having tired legs. 09.01.2022 SELF CARE... Sometimes we think that selfcare is only established by a good routine to a nice spa and even though it sounds like a fabulous idea is not totally true. Self care is much more than taking one hour away to go for a nice massage. The problem is that if we don't have all the rest of our life in order then that hour will disappear in 5 min as soon as we step into our life again. ... Here are a few tips for self care that don't cost you $$$. 1. Intentionally breathe deeply early in the morning, after lunch and before going to bed. Spend at least 5 min connecting with your breath. 2. Read a good book that inspires you (10 to 15 min a day is enough to get you through the book faster than what you think). 3. Daily exercise ( walk - dance - do Pilates - HIIT) all kinds of movements is good for your soul. 4. Schedule your sleeping time. Let your mind organise your sleeping time. Don't let the body decide when it is tired. 5. You are what you eat. Make sure you are eating food that supports your busy days. If you create a conscious selfcare routine for your week, your body and mind will remain on a state of flow. That is what we want to be in... a state that our days and hours are so enjoyable that they smoothly pass by.

07.01.2022 who Knew? Early March this year I did this amazing trip to Cambodia, exploring new places to do my Pilates retreat in 2020. While there the world turned unexpectedly and I had to come back to quarantine away of my children ... uncertainty - anger - fear - hopeless - frustration were some of the feelings for those first weeks after I came back .... But ... Who knew that after all what have happened this year I was going to change? I am able to see things from a different angle now and I opened my self to different possibilities. I am not launching a Pilates Retreat (unfortunately) but I am launching an amazing Online Program for fitness instructors who wants to run their business from home. I am so grateful for this . Lets talk Magic today :) The Maigic Circle is a Love/ Hate prop it assists you with many movements but is can also challenge you in other exercises. My favourite way to use it while teaching is to assist with the movement so people can find their connections and fall in LOVE with it ... then I will introduce it to challenge some muscles. 03.01.2022 Having trouble with your seat ups ? In Pilates world we call them chest lift or spine flexion and when someone has very dominant neck muscles we teach them how to activate their upper abdominals to create the lift from there and NOT from their neck !!! Using props or some equipment can help you to find the connection with those muscles not so easy to activate !!... Say Bye to sore neck and HELLO to abdominal muscles. 01.01.2022 If you want to have a good glutes workout you have to try sound sidekick in the Spine Corrector. The equipment will assist you with Peliv Stability so the glutes will be ready for the workout. This is one is one of my favourites exercises to fire up and strength your lower body while your upper body is just having a break ! Great exercise for beginners !!! ...
