24.01.2022 Happy Hump Day everybody! How good is this Spring weather? We have some top tips to get your home clean and ready for Spring time. 1. De-clutter = De-stress... Out with the old, in with the new! Having unnecessary ‘things’ in your home can cause anxiety and stress. Get rid of that thermo-mix you were going to re gift, or that faux fur coat that’s never quite cold enough to wear. Start with throwing out 4 bigger items and 6 smaller items such as extra Tupperware or picture frames. *Koko’s quick tip: Sell off your items and put the money towards purchasing a few new bright pillows, hand towels or linen to create fresh vibes. Donate whatever you don’t need to your local charities and pass forward some of that new found positive energy. 2. Dust Busters Dust and allergens in your home can cause you and your family to feel irritated, groggy and can affect the quality of your sleep. You should be dusting your home from top to bottom at least once every 3 months, here’s how: Pull out the ladder and start from top to bottom. Dust on top of the fan, light fittings, wall hangings and air conditioner. Don’t forget to pull out all the furniture and dust behind and underneath beds, side tables, skirting boards, couch cushions etc. *Koko’s quick tip: pull out the filters from your air conditioner or heater units and soak them in hot soapy water. 3. Wash Like Nobody’s Washing When is the last time you washed that old blanket on the back of the couch that you put over yourself every evening? Yep, though so! Wash all of your blankets, linen, removable cushion covers, table cloths, the whole lot. There is nothing like resting your head against a fresh soft pillow. *Koko’s quick tip: splurge on your laundry liquid just this once and enjoy breathing in your favorite scent. Pair your wash with a good softener to make blankets and towels soft and fluffy again. New season, new home, new you!
