19.01.2022 Welcome to our Kokoda Hike page! This blog is about a group of determined humans who will do what it takes to complete the Kokoda track in July 2020. The candidates are made up of a team from Anytime Fitness GRAFTON, and not necessarily the fittest, nor the youngest members, but certainly ones with a mission and the drive to show that anything is possible. Each person has their own challenges and their own story and doing what it takes to successfully complete the track will... empower them to realise dreams that they once never thought possible. The blog will be a story of the journey it takes to get there as we embark on local treks and trails and employ the necessary gym training so we can walk the track fully prepared and walk out super proud. We hope you enjoy our journey as much as we will love sharing it, and hopefully some of what we do may inspire you to realise your dreams too. 06.01.2022 Glenugie Peak - practise walk 1. Five of us braved the smoke and walked the deceptive trail to Glenugie Peak. Just a short 25km from GRAFTON, the walk is around 5km return from the carpark. It’s steep and rocky, and usually the view from the top make it worth every step but Unfortunately yesterday the smoke hindered any views. Congratulations Colleen Wormald and Jenny Blacksell for conquerying your initiation into to the hiking world and to Annie Lydon and Amanda Fonti for providing such great support.
