Worrying is useless and, if anything, taxing and a misuse of valuable time and energy. ... Choosing to remain hopeful of the best possible outcome takes courage. It means choosing love, trust, patience and acceptance of the present moment without knowing the outcome. It means surrendering to a higher order and having faith that everything is happening for the highest good of all concerned. If we can create a new thought pattern about this process and be reminded that this emotional feedback is guidance and a catalyst for taking positive action, perhaps we can practice self compassion and kindness along the way. We may become unhappy at times not because of a particular situation but rather because of our thoughts about it. Awareness of the quality of our thoughts is important as is the ability to seperate them from the actual situation which is always neutral. It simply is as it is.... We are free to change our perspective regarding any seemingly negative situation at any given moment. We are responsible for choosing a different way of responding including being vulnerable enough to ask for support and guidance if we don’t know how.
