24.01.2022 It was international Men’s day yesterday, let’s finish up the week with this terrific poem, from our very own Sensei Geoffrey Graham! So proud to have him a part of our Karate family, and what a wonderful job he has done spreading an important message!
22.01.2022 It is with regret, we wish to advise members that the 5pm class has been cancelled (just for today) Due to cancellations/lack of numbers. We hope everyone feels better soon #StaySafe #StayHome... And hope to see you all next Monday #FightingFit #Healthy #Happy
22.01.2022 Ok Dunolly gang! Time for an important message! So please read sorry it’s long! During this very unprecedented time covid-19 has challenged us all....... Even being able to come back to the dojo and train, still we face challenges each week with trying to structure classes, and have been doing it on a day-by-day basis! We are in uncertain times, and nobody knows what tomorrow brings, BUT for now, we are hoping to bring some certainty, some normality, and routine back to the dojo! WHAT WE NEED IS; EVERYONE who plans on training THIS TERM, from here on in, Please let us know We will make up a permanent (as permanent as Covid restrictions allow) Class structure/roster with permanent times. That will avoid us having to ring around, and confirm the day before etc which is very time consuming!! We can not accept cancellations with less than 24 hours notice - unless of course you are sick, been at risk of exposure to covid etc. So if you know you will be away because of; an appointment, holiday, work commitment, or having a break etc - please let us know ASAP!! Because with having to train with reduced numbers, it makes it very awkward and hard if half the students don’t turn up..... and all of a sudden we are left with just a couple/or a few people. By not showing up, you are letting your fellow karates mates down. Also, knowing who is coming helps plan the session! Fact; during this time - with Covid guidelines, we have to train with reduced numbers and you must be booked in. If you don’t book in, and someone else does, or a new member books in, only those who book in/and confirm they are training are permitted. So, we really are at the point, We need to know - for certain - who we have training, Mondays, at the Dunolly dojo. Thanks for your support and patience during this time
19.01.2022 Term 3 is set we have classes/times as follows; MONDAYS AT DUNOLLY * 3.30pm - kids only class * 4.15pm- dojo closed * 5pm class... * 6pm class We have set permanent groups for these times, and stress the importance that only people who are booked in can attend - Covid 19 guidelines. PLEASE LET YOUR INSTRUCTOR Troy Hoban KNOW IF YOU CAN NOT ATTEND. With the smaller class size numbers we feel that term 3 will be a great opportunity to get to know the members of your Karate class better!!! #OneBigKarateFamily So remember to check in with each other! ESPECIALLY during this crazy time we are all living through - you never know just how much your karate mate might appreciate you asking how they are, or saying see you at Karate #weareallinthistogether #2020
18.01.2022 Class structures for tomorrow are done Please remember only those who have booked in can attend (If you have indicated you want to train, you should have received a message to confirm) There is two sessions; 5pm and 6pm

15.01.2022 Better late than never congratulations Charlotte and Dean, who graded before Covid-19 hit and were presented their belt and certificate tonight
15.01.2022 How cool was the logo for our Ladies group! #FLASHBACK Did you know we ran our first ever ladies only group way back in 2015 - because we had NO women training in our dojo..... We’ve come along way, these days we have just as many women as men (If not more!!)... And we all train TOGETHER #OneBigKarateFamily #women #men #equal See more
13.01.2022 FEEDBACK APPRECIATED Tonight was the first time we ran a class straight after school - 3.30pm! firstly, big thanks to parents, we understand and appreciated how hectic this time of day is....... So, for that reason, we are seeking feedback! Did today’s time suit?! Please also talk to the kids, ask is they enjoyed the session. From our perspective, it did work well, we found the kids focus and attention was better, coming straight from school, rather than later in the evening. Covid restrictions really have changed how we run things, but we are always looking at the positive things; like the smaller class numbers! Which allowed us to have more discussion and interaction! As well as plenty of physical activity Also, congratulations to Charlotte - who was the highest rank in class tonight! With being the highest rank - comes more responsibility, Charlotte did a great job helping run the warm up. #DunollyDojo #KarateKids #ConfidentKids Unfortunately due to lack of numbers (for the 5pm class) we had to cancel, If anyone is wanting to join Karate, please inbox us - new members welcome (we do have to stick to Covid guidelines for class size numbers)
12.01.2022 DUNOLLY Students. Please check your inbox. Re; message with details for our end of year break up. Please let us know if you have not received message
08.01.2022 Now that IS dedication!!! It’s that time of the week, check in and let us know if you’d like to train! Please remember, as per Covid guidelines class size is limited. ... If you attended last week, we already have you booked in for tomorrow. (Please let us know ASAP if you can’t make it/so we can offer the spot to someone else) See you there tomorrow, same place, same times
08.01.2022 Sorry everyone, but, we feel it is time to make this (very hard) but appropriate decision. #StayHome #StaySafe #SeeYouTerm4
08.01.2022 Term 3 is here slightly different to what we are use to, smaller class sizes, social distancing, etc and a lot more hand sanitising... but... YAY! We can train, And seeing all the smiles on our students faces = priceless #Dunolly #Karate... #Dojo #KarateKids #HappyDays See more
06.01.2022 We are working on class structures this afternoon for tomorrow’s sessions! So if you haven’t already let us know that you would like to train - please do so ASAP! We are hoping to set up some permanent class/groups and a permanent roster of times
04.01.2022 No doubt, by now you may have seen today’s updates on the news. You may be wondering how that effects us, and will Karate resume?!? Being that this is the last week of term 3, we’ve discussed and decided, ... No training will happen over the school holidays...... (as usual, we don’t train school holidays anyway) All going well WE WILL RESUME TERM 4 - as per government guidelines!! OUTDOOR TRAINING, In small groups (more details to come later) Also, we would like to let everyone know - as you may have been wondering what will happen with our end of year dinner?!?? The likelihood of us being able to hold our usual dinner - given that it attracts such a large crowd - is probably not going to be allowed in Nov. So, if that is the case, We will most likely do small social bubble barbecues. (Within the guidelines/if guidelines allow) It will be a case of; let’s see what November brings A decision regarding end of year celebration will be made closer to November
03.01.2022 ... and tonight this happened in at the Maryborough dojo Congratulations Jack, who was awarded his full Shodan #OurKarateKid #AllGrownUp #1stDanblackBelt
