17.01.2022 What a day! I wish I could bottle the atmosphere in the dojo today, there was so much energy and hard work going on throughout a gruelling 3 hours. We started with quiet meditation and stretching then straight into the technical stuff. So many strikes, blocks, kicks! In different stances, on the spot, moving forwards and backwards. Kata, stamina, fighting! Some even doing techniques they've never done before. These kids gave it their all, even pulling out deep determination when they were spent and exhausted! Thank you for being the best students we could ever ask for! And a massive congratulations because everyone passed with flying colours!

Here's a good example of our girls showing control, picking their shots, blocking, using footwork and working with each other to ensure no-one gets hurt or injured. Humility, respect and discipline are traits we try to instil in our karateka, which hopefully carries through to their every day lives. Osu!

Fri 19/3 Shihan Cameron Quinn seminar at Eltham Martial Arts Academy - Musubi Dojo covering concepts about ground work and stand up fighting and his book The Budo Karate of Mas Oyama. Sat 20/3 Shihan @Judd Reid RONIN 8-Man Eliminator Fight Night. A great night of fights, most notably the young 16 and 17 year olds! ... Sun 21/3 Our first grading since 2019. The kids waited a long time for this opportunity and all passed with flying colours Wed 24/3 Belt and Certificate Presentation Sun 28/3 2 of our boys participated in WFC - Ferntree Gully Development Day, gaining some much needed experience sparring against kids from another club. We'll keep you all updated with future events, the next tournament will be sometime in June.
