25.01.2022 KOLTS INTO THE FINAL Kellyville Kolts have come from 2-1 down to reign victorious against a brave Rouse Hill Rams, final score 3-2. A cagey first half ended 0-0 at the break, with both teams having opportunities to break the deadlock, but to no avail. ... At the restart, Kolts actually came out firing, and an early Nikola Jovic tap in put Kellyville 1-0 up off a huge long throw from Jayden Sandy. Then, a capitulation started, and before they knew it, Kolts found themselves 2-1 down. Questionable refereeing at the forefront of the match, a common theme during the season, however the Kolts fought hard and with 15 minutes on the clock, Jovic scored a beautiful goal after a midfield splitting pass from Jack Edwards (on return from injury) to Jack Hawkes who flicked over nicely to put Jovic through on goal. Late drama in the end of normal time, with Kolts awarded a penalty that would’ve sent them through to the final in 90min, however, on a hattrick, Nikola Jovic stepped up and skewed wide. It remained 2-2 and brought extra time. Chances for both sides in ET, none were taken, and a penalty shoot out was looming, but in the last minute of the game a spirited run from Nik Cauchi was awarded with a penalty. Up steps Jack Edwards, 120th min, grand final in sight. Calmly slots it home, 3-2, KOLTS IN THE FINAL. Big dance next week. 11:30am Bernie Mullane v Hills Spirit Red. Huge.

22.01.2022 KELLYVILLE MARCH ON TO MAKE IT 7 IN A ROW Kellyville Kolts Red easily put Castle Hill Rockets to bed in a comfortable 4-1 victory on Sunday. Kolts came out firing and two quick fire goals from Hudson Keramea and Jordan Vargas put the Kolts up 2-0 in the first 10 minutes of the game.... After consistent pressure and plenty of attacks, Kolts forced a penalty in which Jack Edwards stepped up and struck down the middle to make it 3-0. Seems like Edwards is the clubs allocated penalty kick taker this season. In the second half, a questionable call from the makeshift referee calling a handball against Luke Rimac inside the area, with Rockets slotting home to pull one back. 3-1. With 5 minutes remaining, Jack Hawkes’ mesmerising run left defenders on the floor and calmly placed the ball into the net to complete the victory and a 6 point weekend. 4-1.

15.01.2022 KOLTS EASE TO WITHIN 1 GAME FROM PREMIERSHIP A simple Kolts display on Saturday afternoon saw them run out 2-0 winners against top 4 hopefuls Norwest. Another goal for Jayden Sandy who’s strong run all the way up the field ended with a cool finish to send the Kolts up 1-0.... After the break, set-piece specialist Nikola Jovic put a ball on a plate for Nik Cauchi who headed home despite being quite short as compared to Norwest defence. A win on Tuesday night sees Kellyville lift the minor premiership with 2 weeks remaining. A feat never been done in Youth League 2. 7:30pm, at the Stable (Bernie Mullane Stadium). High flying Kolts Red v bottom of the ladder Rams Blue. Minor premiership at stake, get down there! #koltsbaby #HearUsNeigh

14.01.2022 KOLTS RETURN TO WINNING WAYS Kellyville battled in sweltering conditions to defeat Rams 2-0 on Sunday afternoon. Eric ‘Trent’ Scarcella’s peach of a cross found Kolts players in the middle with an eventual goal from Josh White to put the lads 1-0 up.... Then in an extraordinary, once in a lifetime moment, Jack Hawkes broke free up field and found a free Anthony Winsloe in the box who’s thunderous strike absolutely tore the net and the celebrations afterwards were an excellent representation of the hard work and effort Winsloe puts in week in week out for you, the Kolts faithful. Tears of joy from the squad, and even the referee was choked. A beautiful moment for a man who might’ve drove for the last time to a football match. 2-0 up, penalty awarded. Up steps reliable penalty taker and also SMART TACTICIAN Jack Edwards who comfortably blasted the ball over the bar in a fair time wasting effort to ensure the spotlight was not taken away from Winsloe’s goal, and to ensure a comeback was not an option for Rouse Hill. A great way to end a topsy-turvy weekend. Kolts

12.01.2022 MATCH REPORT Kellyville Kolts Blue 1-5 Ettamogah Kellyville Kolts Red Your boys in red and black served up a lesson in football against crosstown rivals Kellyville Blue on Saturday afternoon.... Although having a depleted squad, with many outs and unavailabilities, Kellyville Red pushes hard and ground out a comfortable 5-1 victory courtesy of goals from Josh White, Jayden Sandy, Nikola Jovic, Nik Cauchi and Ryan Dawson. A lapse in concentration in defence saw Kolts Blue score with what was really the only chance they had in the game. A special mention goes out to Liam Waters who was on form, providing a succulent assist for Ryan Dawson’s headed goal, with a Ronaldo-esque cross with the outside of his right foot, placed precisely on the head of Dawson. We go again Wednesday night to begin 1 of 5 matches in 11 days. That lead at the top continues to grow KOLTS BABYYY

12.01.2022 KOLTS GO SIX ON THE TROT Kellyville Kolts Red made it 6 wins from the last 6 games with a gutsy 1-0 win over Hills Spirit Blue. With pride at stake in this fixture, the previous clash between the sides was full of drama, and Kolts were seeking to avenge the 2-1 defeat suffered on Matchday 1- the only loss to date.... An inspired Hills Spirit keeper saved a plethora of shots from all angles, however a composed Kolts said were patient and tried breaking the bus formation down of the opposition. Spirit hardly left their own half, and with 11 men behind the ball at all times, it’s easy to see why spectators fail to enjoy the football on display when the team plays. However this ugly yet effective system worked for 84 minutes of the game. Jayden Sandy’s ball into the box was met by high sitting RB Eric Scarcella who volleyed home and kept the high flying Kolts at the top of the ladder with games in hand. We go again tomorrow lineups coming out shortly

03.01.2022 Minor Premiers Many of you already know after attending the historical event, but your Kellyville Kolts have been awarded minor premiership for season 2020 after a breezy 3-1 win over bottom of the table Rams Blue. As the crowds gathered to witness their own slice of history, the Kolts were more fired up than ever against a lowly side who, to their credit, gave the game to the lads. However, they didn’t have enough.... A brace from Jack Hawkes on either side of William Franco’s solo effort meant the trophy was heading to Marella Avenue. Eric Scarcella’s new Mrs needs to maintain her 100% attendance record this season as it has turned Scarcella into an assist king at RB.. A slight look in for the Rams just before half time saw the game head into HT at 2-1, and after that Rams had nothing- Kellyville’s makeshift defence, which had Nik Cauchi at CB for majority of the game and even a stint at LB for Scott McGaw after cramps and injuries to Jayden Sandy and Jack Edwards. With 6 points still up for grabs the boys are still hard at work attempting to finish on 37 out of the maximum 42 points available in the season. KOLTS ON TOP!!!
