21.01.2022 We need your help , please sign the petition. The Vintage & Classic Car Hirers Australia (VCCHA) was established by a group of 50 vintage and classic car service providers providing chauffeur driven services in the wedding and events category. @kombicelebrations is one of its members. The #vccha have started a petition to the NSW POINT TO POINT TRANSPORT COMMISSIONER requesting that The NSW P2P passenger transport authority amend their current fee tier structure.... Currently we are categorised along with Taxis and Uber services providers who provide services for 1000’s of bookings a year. This is not the case for wedding and event transportation with some smaller operators only facilitating 1-2 bookings a month and this was before COVID. We are requesting to be a seperate category, and charged an appropriate licensing fee indicative of the number of bookings carried out each year. Many businesses closed due to COVID and many others are still recovering, so the recent authorisation levy for 2019/2020 of $500 has hit us hard, a lot of operators have been doing very low no.s in bookings due to COVID and the govt. restrictions in place. We know things will improve but we still have a long way to go. Therefore in an effort to eradicate the high license fee's imposed we are requesting a review and a much fairer fee structure put in place, this in turn will allow us to keep our prices as competitive as they are and allow us to continue providing our stunning, highly desirable vehicles to brides and grooms for many years to come. Our driver was so lovely and accommodating. He was on time, calmed our nerves during the drive and played a radio station we loved so we could have a dance before hand. I couldn't thank him enough. So many guests were raving and still are about the Kombi. They absolutely loved it and thought it was a fantastic touch to the day. My husband was also very impressed by the amount of "guts" it had. Sustainability has been a huge topic in the Wedding news and will continue into 2020. With Princess Eugenies environmentally-conscious wedding this May. So many eco-friendly options have popped up for couples. Central to this is drastically reducing the amount of plastics used in weddings and events and your carbon footprint and theres lots of ways we...re seeing this happen. Trending images are seeing couples choosing locally grown, seasonal and even foraged flowers to give an aesthetic edge and boost their eco-credentials and plants in ceramic pots and cool containers which will be planted after the wedding or given as gifts to guests.
