25.01.2022 This ones for you Guy. Tomorrow before lunch it'll get painted.

25.01.2022 Hey Kate. Didn't get to finish it today, but just to give you an idea.

24.01.2022 Blocking out the engine noise almost done. One day, 2 people.

22.01.2022 Byrons top is almost done Kate.

19.01.2022 Building Australias most popular Kombi Pamela Vanderson. Tune into Fox fm's Dan and Maz Show.

19.01.2022 That's what Lotus white looks like.

18.01.2022 It turns out that we blew our deadline out by 3 weeks. However, this is what we finished up with. A mechanical restoration, excluding motor and gearbox, a full respray and a refurbished interior. Results we are very proud of... A special thanks to the German boys Kilian and Marco for their amazing efforts. And of course to my family for their patience and understanding.

18.01.2022 Does Cody ever work hard.... this kid is awesome, just don't know how to kickstart him.

18.01.2022 Hey Guy filler work removed, cause of the problem fixed, no longer the need for bog or ripples.

16.01.2022 Out with the old rusty banged up supports. In with the new.

16.01.2022 Bottom layer is finished. Now for the top.

15.01.2022 Aerodynamics when you most need it

14.01.2022 Some panel beaters should automatically be awarded the trade qualifications of a plasterer. Ha ha Byron is due for completion next week.

14.01.2022 I pay good money to be supplied good parts. I buy new door panels to remove the old and fit the new, I find that I need to spend over an hour to trim down the new one, I would have spent less time and money if I just made it myself from the start. The amount of time wasted on new parts has become totally unacceptable. Maybe I'll start a new Facebook page to remind myself what not to buy and from which supplier. Maybe I can encourage you to name and shame the part you have troubles with.

13.01.2022 And to cap off the week. This is the way we treat our seats. Dave that little round thing will keep your engine running for years to come.. What a week.

12.01.2022 P.s there are no shot cuts...

11.01.2022 Due to unfortunate circumstances all works have been put on hold...all attention is now on this sweetheart, must be fleet ready by 30th October. Achievable .....?

10.01.2022 And finally the inspector gets called in. She misses nothing.

07.01.2022 My little helper

06.01.2022 Rust treated new locaters fitted and freshlfreshly painted. Meet Whitey, she's a pain in the backside. Together with Mae they make an almost perfect disturbance. Browney on the other hand is as sweet as pie

06.01.2022 Just got word that Byron passed a Blue slip on the first go. Kombi George is finally in the assembly room. (Slightly embarrassing). Hey Kate, what do you think of Byron, other than a weak starter and that annoying window regulator. Looking forward to your truth.

05.01.2022 So excited with this result.

04.01.2022 The seat are well and truly on there way.

03.01.2022 This guy has gone a way since the last pic with Cody

02.01.2022 Its the little things that matter.

02.01.2022 The new home of Kombi restorations

02.01.2022 Big day for Byron today. Repairing rusty windows, re-zinc coating pop top supports and fitting it all up. With the new canvas.

01.01.2022 These seat frames going back into Guys 68 dcab should never rust again. Unless Guy drives it into the surf. Even then I struggle to see how the salt will get through. The point is if you are restoring a vdub get those seat frames treated, it is a time consuming process though very cheap and will see our seats go another 50 years.

01.01.2022 Roof linning ordered, upholsterer will recieve it tomorrow, hopefully he'll have it sewn up ready to fit early next week, goal for tomorrow is to have the insulation finished. Calling it a day.
