22.01.2022 Clean Energy 4 Goulburn (CE4G) are ramping up in preparation for development of their community owned 1.8 MW Solar and 800 kWh battery mini power station. They are hiring a local Project Manager to support their community investment and project promotion work. Wouldn't it be amazing if regional communities could start and build local clean power stations that can provide on demand energy? This project won't just produce clean energy into the local distribution system, but als...o help meet peak demand with it's battery and balance supply and demand in the grid. Thanks go to the NSW government for their grant funding support. Being a first, it is not easy and grant support helps make it more viable! Komo is proud to supporting CE4G on this project. Stay tuned for more updates. https://www.goulburnpost.com.au//project-manager-pushes-c/

21.01.2022 An interesting article on the recent events in energy, however no credit is given to renewables keeping the lights on in SA or in general while old coal generators fail and inter-connectors fall over
19.01.2022 Power Purchase Agreements allow energy generators to sell their power directly to other businesses. It's a great way to put the "power" back in the hands of small businesses ;) #renewableenergy

16.01.2022 Great to see smaller assets being planned with community ownership models - putting the profits back in the hands of our regional investors. #renewableenergy
16.01.2022 Great to see the Solarshare community owned solar farm in Canberra be realised This 1MW solar farm by over 400 local investors in the ACT, and will soon start generation of 1,800 MWh per annum This is the result of hard volunteer effort and a supportive community. While Komo Energy is not involved in this particular project, it is part of the vital mid-scale / community-scale renewable sector that we are developing, as we do in our collaboration with community groups around the country.
15.01.2022 It is great to hear of these project developing. Komo Energy is working with Clean Cowra on a 1 MW local solar and battery Microgrid to power 4 local industry electricity users, and future hose of a bioenergy plant, under the same federal government grant program. https://reneweconomy.com.au/two-victorian-towns-could-go-o/
15.01.2022 Our 1.5 MW solar project in Grong Grong will particulate in a Solar Garden project where 1MW is open to investment from the community. These investors get a virtual plot where they can get credits on their bills from their share of generation. It was featured by the ABC this week
15.01.2022 Today is a big day in energy in Australia as the demolition of chimney towers at Hazelwood power station. Thankyou to the Latrobe Valley community and the power station workers for your efforts to supply electricity to Victorians for decades. The replacement of energy supply to Victoria and the National Electricity Market has not been smooth at times, but now billions of wind and solar farms have been commissioned national and more are coming online in the next 12-24 months. The recent reduction in gas prices and electricity prices are a new phase in the transition to new generation technology

09.01.2022 Solar Gardens are a great concept where you can buy a share of a solar farm, like 3 or 5 kW, and have the production credited on your bills. Perfect for renters, apartment dwellers and others that want solar but can’t get rooftop solar. Glad to say we are working on such a project to bring this concept to reality. Stay tuned for more
09.01.2022 Great job Kristy communicating the opportunity for solar gardeners. Komo Energy is providing solar development services for the Grong Grong Haystacks solar garden project

08.01.2022 Australia has a lot of work to do. And there are so many opportunities to do so. This is not a comment on policy or politics alone, as we need everyone to act: Government, Industry, Corporations, Institutions and Families. And luckily, particularly in Australia, we have the tools at our disposal to take action.
07.01.2022 Hydrogen production will be a huge demand for electricity in the future. AEMO estimate we will need to grow from 15GW of solar capacity today to 40GW of solar by 2040, but this is generally based on today's demand are reasonably low EV takeup. Europe is starting to show that when EVs take hold, they increase very quickly. Add in electrification of heating, hot water, cooking, industry and we may use much more electricity in the future. Hydrogen may see us need to work toward...s "700% renewables". This may see these forecasts revised, and huge amounts of new generation being needed. The opportunity is these new forms of demand can be scheduled or orchestrated so they soak up solar and wind. A lot of work to do, and it is only accelerating. https://reneweconomy.com.au/green-hydrogen-will-triple-sou/
