19.01.2022 Happy Saturday everyone - #Rant Alert :) Wondering if everyone is as gobsmacked as we are at the outcome from yesterdays inquiry. Until then, restrictions and everything everyone was trying to achieve together seemed to have a continuity - and that was Dan turning up each day to face media to explain the lockdown strategy - gutsy performance whether you liked him or not - stoic even.... BUT the "I don't recall" defense used by everyone connected to the Hotel Quarantine debac...le has surprised even the cynics... it is simply not possible for NO ONE in a government to not know WHO approved the security guard plan. At Koncept Building Group we have been vigilant enforcing COVID Safety Plans for our clients and contractors - "I don't recall" will not be acceptable if i am out after curfew tonight or don't have my worker permit ... so it beggars belief that Dan Andrews would think that yesterday, for him, was anything but political suicide. In one afternoon any remaining community support or credibility he may have had, has been eradicated. It disrespects Melbournians who have sacrificed so much.
