21.01.2022 Happy New Year!! Hope you enjoyed fun celebrations and feel ready to tackle whatever 2021 has got in store! Let’s get straight into it with another plank variation for day 6 of our 7-day core strength challenge! Your levels for this exercise are:... 1- Hold your plank on elbows, knees or toes, 2- Gently rock your body forwards and back, keeping your body in a straight line with your tail slightly tucked under to protect your lower back. Remember to regress any exercise when you start compromising form! For those of you who are only joining in today, this is what we are up to: 1 minute plank with single arm reach 1 minute tabletop tap 1 minute plank to pike 2x 30 seconds side plank 1 minute reverse curls 1 minute plank rock Try to do as many repetitions as possible, no rest between exercises Any questions- get in touch

14.01.2022 Oh the smell of the native Cinnamon and Lemon Myrtle plants I got for my Birthday is just delicious . Now they say that in the wild’, Cinnamon myrtle can reach up to 7m, but to expect heights of around 3m in a home garden... am pretty sure our backyard falls into the rather wild‘ category . Hope I‘ll get them planted before our Picnic event next Saturday so you can take some leaves home to add to your tea, curries or pastries

13.01.2022 Has anyone reminded you to Stand up Straight today? Well.. this IS your reminder I guess we all know that good posture will allow our body to function more efficiently, prevent imbalances, wear and tear or pain. Anyone else spending too much time leaning forward in the kitchen, sitting at the computer or in the car? ... Being aware and improving posture is more important than ever. There will be an increased focus on improving individual alignment in our sessions over the next few weeks. Let’s practice this basic wall stand to start - I’ll help you observe any imbalances and to progress from here

It was a smooth transition into the new year - hope I could help you form a small healthy habit, that you enjoyed moving your body a little bit on purpose every day and felt some muscles, too As you can see above, our last addition is the ‘criss cross’ or ‘cross crawl’ exercise to sculpt the waist, working the obliques a bit more.... Remember as you do the rotations to keep a stable, neutral pelvis and avoid any tucking, tilting or rocking. Also resist the urge to fold your elbows in, keeping your hands very light at the side of your head. Level 1: Hinging legs from a tabletop position Level 2: Single leg extension So it’s 6 Minutes today, combining the exercises from this week Are you ready?!?

The sleek, versatile Slimbeam and the @nohrd rower were the first pieces of quality equipment I owned; very glad we now brought it over from the old studio and can incorporate it into our sessions again. . 03.01.2022 Reverse curls is just what we needed today, right Again it’s 1 minute of this exercise to be added to the exercises of the previous days - We are up to a 5 minute core workout already, super stars!! As usual you want to work at the level that suits you best; feel the challenge but be able to control the movement: Level 1 slightly easier with bend legs, level 2 legs straight (ish ) Try to lift/lower with as little swinging of the legs as you can master... This new year better be good!! Happy celebrations y’all
