25.01.2022 Lots of love to all our mum’s out there - we hope you are all being spoilt

24.01.2022 WA is expected to be hit by a very rare weather event from this arvo, which could see wild weather hit WA from Exmouth to Esperance, with wind gusts of up to 13...5km! While most storm damage is preventable, it is important to know who to call if your home is damaged, flooded or a large tree has come down on your house or driveway. The SES are on stand-by and ready to assist WA residents 24/7 should the need arise. If you are unsure of when to call them, ask yourself the questions in the image below. When calling for assistance please remember: To speak slowly and clearly Tell us exactly where to come All requests are prioritised by urgency Major structural damage will be attended to first Avoid clogging up emergency hotlines with unrelated requests Keep up to date as the situation changes Find the latest alerts and warnings: https://bit.ly/2fU94Yo Keep an eye on the weather: https://bit.ly/2WRuj0x Find your local ABC Radio Station: https://ab.co/2XnaMnU When you need SES assistance after severe weather, call 132 500 For fallen trees over roads contact, your local shire or call Main Roads on 13 81 38

23.01.2022 If there are any community members interested in joining the Kondinin VFES, please come along to our training night at the VFES shed on Wednesday 2nd September after 6pm. With the fire season nearly upon us again, we would love for any prospective volunteers to come along to training and meet the crew, check out the equipment and trucks, and have a chat about what emergency services volunteering is all about. We not only offer fire roles, but also provide rescue, storm and ...other emergency services to our local community as well. As a member you can be involved in all areas, or just the parts that you’d feel comfortable or capable of doing. Any support and involvement you can offer is always welcome All training and equipment is provided of course, with lots of support and mentors to help you throughout your training and initial incident attendances. The team environment and comradeship among the group is fantastic, your always supported. This service is manned by an amazing team of local volunteers, who not only have jobs, families and businesses, but also find time to provide this service to our community. This year’s crew have had an enormous year of work and have attended many many incidents, both locally and further afield. Going forward we’d love to develop the next generation of volunteers who will continue to provide this service to our community for many more years to come. The role we carry out in the event of an emergency is massively important, and you’ll get the chance to make a big difference in local residents lives at their most vulnerable time. It’s a great privilege to fulfil this function for our community, and we look forward to hearing from any prospective members soon Feel free to message us here, email us in [email protected], or call our Captain on 0447699909.

18.01.2022 Update: 09:27 PM, 09 August 2020 Cancellation of severe weather warning for parts of the Midwest-Gascoyne, Goldfields-Midlands, Great Southern, Lower South We...st, South West, Perth Metropolitan The severe weather warning for Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, Lower West, South West, South Coastal, South East Coastal and parts of Goldfields, Eucla, Central West and Great Southern districts has been cancelled. WEATHER DETAILS: At 09/08/2020 18:26:00 the Bureau of Meteorology advised the immediate threat of severe weather has passed, but the situation will continue to be monitored and further warnings will be issued if necessary. At 09/08/2020 08:07:00 the Bureau of Meteorology advised a rain band and cold front is moving over western parts of the State this morning, reaching central parts this afternoon and into southeastern parts on Sunday evening. Ahead of the rain band, very windy conditions are expected with possible damaging wind gusts. Moderate to heavy rainfall is expected with the rain band as it moves through western parts of the warning area on Sunday morning. On Sunday afternoon and evening behind the rain band, a cold and unstable air mass will likely bring thunderstorms to the west coast which have the potential to produce damaging wind gusts. In western parts of the warning area, damaging winds with gusts to 110 kilometres per hour are possible and could cause damage to homes and property. Winds are expected to ease for a period as the rain band moves over, however damaging winds will continue to be a threat as gusty showers and thunderstorms develop about coastal parts during the afternoon. Through the Gascoyne, Central Wheat Belt, Goldfields and South East Coastal districts, sustained winds of up to 60 kilometres per hour are expected to develop this morning with gusts to 100 kilometres per hour possible. In these areas there is a risk of raised dust ahead of the rain band. Heavy Rainfall which may lead to flash flooding may develop through the Central West and southern coastal parts of the Gascoyne as the rain band moves over this morning. Locations which may be affected include Denham, Geraldton, Kalbarri, Moora, Mullewa and Northampton.
