18.01.2022 Good morning everyone, unfortunately we didn’t quite beat the heat with the covid-19 virus situation, as of 9:45 this morning we have had our event licence revoked by our shire, this doesn’t just effect us but Anzac services and all sporting events. As we stated in previous posts we were optimistic that the event would go ahead, and we are as disappointed as those who would have been attending now that its not. We fully respect the decision that Kondinin shire have had to mak...e and would like to thank them for all the support they have given us to try and make this event successful. We do not wish any bad comments towards them as they are fully supporting another event when things finally settle For those of you who have payed entry fees already, please be patient as we process them for a full refund we may have to contact a few of you make sure bank details are 100% correct We intend to reschedule the event so please keep watching this page for updates in the future Many thanks The Kondinin Burnout Challenge team

09.01.2022 Afternoon legends, as you are aware any non essential gatherings of more than 500 people will not be allowed as of Monday to control the spread the covid 19 virus. We intend to continue our event and will run as normal, we do not expect to exceed 500 people at this years event. We will also be doing arm bands for our event which will not exceed 500. We do ask if you are attending that you keep your hygiene at the upmost importance and take responsibility for your own actions.... Our insurance company has issued a statement saying they will support groups/events ect that wish to continue or discontinue events because of the current situation. They are leaving this to organisers to decide whether they continue. We have no problems with entrants who wish to withdraw due to personal concerns and if paid they will recieve a full refund. The decision to attend falls back on the individuals If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the page and we will do our best to resolve any concerns Many thanks The Kondinin Burnout Challenge team

Camping will be around the Perimeter of the oval.in 1-2 levels. Inside be marked by blue wheelie bins, all sprinkler heads circled. No load / unload on grass, no bare rims on grass. No tyre changes on grass. Photo credits beau repacholli thanks mate

03.01.2022 Attention! We have been asked by a few competitors about running party cars and whether fire suits are recommended or compulsory with methanol cars. We have made the enquiry with AASA and there response is ... that there is to be only 2 occupants in the a vehicle whilst doing burnouts. occupants in methanol cars are now required to be wearing a fire suit meaning compulsory. Our understanding is this will be across most burnout comps by next season and we do apologise, but unfortunately if we do something incorrect we will not be covered by AASA Many thanks the Kondinin burnout challenge team.

03.01.2022 A big thanks goes out to kondinin building services for supplying temporary fencing at the venue jump on there page and give them a big thumbs up!

02.01.2022 Gday everyone here is the latest in regards to our event. We had a meeting today with local police, kondinin works manager and a few local bussiness’s and they are still happy for us to run the burnouts this weekend there are concerns on two sides of numbers exceeding the 500 people and equal concerns of lack of attendance. ... We have also had a small hurdle put in front of us in regards to catering we will be having a sausage sizzle and burgers and drinks done by the lions club on the Saturday. you will need to bring food or purchase locally for Friday night and Sunday morning. What we are asking now is that those of you who are planning to attend firm up for catering purposes so we can put on a good show! We will be doing our best to supply a clean environment with hands soaps etc but encourage individuals to make sure they have good practice with washing hands before and after handling items around the event. Looking forward to the event in four days time here are some progress photos of the marquee going up thanks to the shire works manager and staff Please watch this page for updates if there are any changes from the authorities, we will post as soon possible. Many thanks The Kondinin Burnout Challenge Team
