04.01.2022 Well that’s a wrap. No pun intended. Six years ago we arrived in the Northern Rivers with a couple of tables that we had made from an old wardrobe, a few skewers, spent our last $ in the world on a charcoal BBQ and had no plan other than taking a stab at sharing Persian food with folks in this area. We did it! What a beautiful journey it’s been. From the monthly Nimbin Markets, to festivals, setting up a commercial kitchen, catering, pop-ups, playing around with so many fun ...food ideas in the Koobi Lab, all while doubling the size of our family. A fabulous whirlwind. We’d like to thank the Koobi crew, all of our customers and clients, the Byron Food hub gang, regional event organisers and most importantly, our family and friends who have supported us every step of the way. As we close this chapter and get ready to start the next (in Canada!), our hearts will always be filled with gratitude and joy for having the opportunity to share tasty Persian food and drink with all of you.
