10.01.2022 Great to see everyone who turned up for the Christmas Party at the Koogie Downs Museum. Thanks to Bernie Daniels and his family for letting us use his Hostel for the venue and all the facilities, including Kitchen toilets, cold room, tables, chairs and BBQ etc. Thanks to Bev for organising the food and Trevor. Thanks also to the members who brought extra food which was shared around. BUT most of all... the museum. After the meal, we were given a tour around the museum (w...hich you can see in the background) Absolutely bloody incredible.... Everything which is historical and Australian is on show. Just far too much to list here, it has to be seen to be believed. From dolls to Cane harvester, Mouse traps to Barrel making machines, Milking and butter churning, its all here. Lots of the machinery, tractors and pumps etc. were started up by Don and we were treated to the exhaust smells of yesteryear. Even a fire engine and full size old steam engine. Hard to believe this has all been created and put together by one bloke and his passion to preserve Australian history for generations to come. Comments from the lapatrey club Nambour
