25.01.2022 I have had several messages today asking how the man is doing. He is doing very well, still exhausted after such a big surgery. He is taking naps as recommended, frustrated at the drenching night sweats ( normal as well) he will see the professor on Friday. He just finished helping pack eggs for delivery tomorrow and now he taking a nap. I have been busy doing chores and keeping the property going. I apologise, after all the support shown to us, I am ashamed not to have done a progress post. Photo before surgery

After a year of COVID shut down restrictions, it was wonderful for the Church and Stall Holders to see so many come down to support us all. 19.01.2022 Gold Medal to Kookaburra Estate. At this week’s Australian Distilled Spirit Awards, Kookaburra Estate won a Gold medal for our Raspberry Liqueur. Our score of 93.25 out of 100 was helped by our top score of any fruit liqueur for Palate of 38.25 out of 40. Judges comments included, Great Spirit, Vibrant, Clear, Ruby. Screams Raspberry, Balance of the Body, warmth, texture, acidity, is fantastic. We knew our liqueur tasted great but to win a Gold medal was beyond our dreams.... All treats will be for sale at 2019 prices, some products have new packaging, these are the same weight as before. There will be tarts. our boutique range of vodka, liqueur, jams, honey and a new product the distiller has been working on raspberry gin. We will be running under COVID 19 guidelines. We are excited to be at our first markets in over 12 months.

11.01.2022 Spent the day feeding Cudgegong District Rural Fire Crew, training up for the coming season. Parmesan crusted chicken, corned beef, white sauce with parsley, vegies and potato bake. Lemon merangue for dessert. Doing it again tomorrow, love working with these people.

08.01.2022 Thank you for your prayers, messages, love and support. Nice to be back at on the farm, a long very painfull 5 hour return trip. More extensive operation than first thought, five large incisions, part of the long bone removed and joined with a metal plate. Bone removed from wrist and mechanism inserted, plus a tendon graft. 12 weeks recovery, pleased it's done I did not expect so much pain, childbirth is way easier.
