19.01.2022 We play snakes and ladders with real snakes at our local country school

19.01.2022 Back again...cause the kids just can't get enough! Is there a holiday your kids always ask to do again? Ours is heading to Kookaburra Farmstay in Port Stephens ...- we've stayed about twice a year for the last 4yrs! It really is the best of both worlds (no matter the weather) - starting and finishing each day on the farm and spending the rest in between at the gorgeous nearby beaches and doing all the fun family things around. http://www.parraparents.com.au//kookaburra-farmstay-port-/ Farmer Callum is just so great with the kids, helping them get over any animal fears and embracing farming life. You get to milk a cow, brush a pig, feed sheep, chase chickens, run from geese, sit on a donkey and pat a goat each day on the farm tour - as well as hunt for eggs throughout the day. Plus now you can also pick your own sunflowers! We find staying here affordable, particularly compared with other farm stays, and love that the cottages are big enough for 2 families to share...which we've done a few times and it's great sharing the fun with friends. Highly recommend a stay - even if flying solo with the kids (which I've done on most visits), as there is just so much to keep them occupied and space to roam. #farmstay #holiday #sogoodwekeepcomingback #repeatholiday #selffunded #realreview #sydneymums #portstephens #farmstaynsw #parrakids #parramums #familyholiday #schoolholidays @ Kookaburra Farmstay

09.01.2022 Can we help someone in need? Mel and I would like to make available our farm stay accommodation to anyone desperate to get out of their current situation. If you know someone (and their children) that would be safer on the farm until things improve or other arrangements can be made please let them know we are here. This is at no cost and we ask for nothing in return.... Love to all Callum and Mel Please remember this is not a holiday offer, this is an offer of hope Accommodation is short term and we ask that travel out of the farm is limited.
